Rated 5 out of 5 by dizzy kept me warm in extreme cold tempatures
this product keeps you warm in below zero tempatures and wind does not penetrate them. i would highly recomend them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DCS60 No Fly!
I bought these for hiking, snowshoeing and winter camping. I've worn them once on a showshoe hike. They were warm and seemed to wick away moisture well. They are definitely form fitting.
The biggest draw back is the lack of a fly. If you're only going to be out for a short time or you aren't a coffee drinker that's probably not an issue. For the rest of us, it means more exposure in cold weather.
Overall functional. I will mark as recommended but with the caveat above.

Worked very well in 10 degree weather and 40 degree weather. Warm and comfortable in both cases.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Baffled No fly is not the way to go with base layers
The fact these pants come without a fly is a big put down. I don't think the warmth is what it should be for a mid-weight base layer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bobby Exactly what I wanted.
Baselayer Duofold pants. Had found top in store, but pants. were out of stock. Used my Dick's giftcard. Online took care of me. Exactly what I needed. Couldnt wait to wear, as cold wather continues.
Comment on in-store experience. Duofold was not easy to find in store. found it online right away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dick Not what I thought it would be
I'm sure it's a great product but it turned out to not be what i thought it would be. I'm a senior citizen (78 yo ) and was looking for an old fashioned Duofold pair of "longjohns".
Cotton layer on the inside, wool layer on the outside.
No hassle on the return. Thank you. I will be back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hatescoldweather Comfortable but not too warm
Very comfortable and thin!!! But these do not provide very much warmth. Good for 40's or so as base layer. I am 6'2". Large is perfect. I suggest heavier base layer if your in colder weather all day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dave Works well with other clothes to vary thermal resistance to cold and wind.
I wear them around house on very cold days under normal daytime clothes as my wife likes house cooler than I do. When I have to go out especially on really cold and/or windy days. I wear windproof and thermal resistant clothing over house clothes. These were very comfortable and light, allowing freedom of movement under all conditions. The only time the pant could cause problems if if I am using a urinal in a public rest room. Have to unzip outer pants and pull down Varitherm pant to urinate.
