Terrible stuff All day yesterday this line kept breaking. I found that it frays and then breaks. I lost several lures due to this. May 12, 2013
Good stuff! While it is pricy, I find the nanofil fishing line to be a good product. It is a specialty fishing line though, so it should not be used by someone who is new to fishing. I go fishing 2-3 times a week, and it is most useful in murky water or with a long flourocarbon leader. It does require you to use a double palomar knot, with a wet line while cinching the knot down. Examples of this knot can be found on Berkley's website, and I recommend using a swivel to tie into, then a leader of a different (cheaper) line on which to tie your lure. To break it down to pros and cons pros long lasting (no need to restring on a frequent basis) no knots and birds nests very long casting smooth and quiet easy to tie knots because of low memory does not absorb water lightweight and thin cons easy to see underwater, hence the leader or murky water usage expensive special knots and setup (you want to backfill your spool with monofilament) slippery May 7, 2013
Nano Fil Good but not perfect Nanofil is very good braid. It cast long and is very slick. But there is the rub! It is difficult to tie knots with it. Tieing to a floro leader is tough. It took me several tries with the slecial knots to make a solid connection. After that, it was great. April 16, 2013

Great New Line I used the 4# test line for jigging and casting soft plastics for panfish. This is a very sensitive and easy casting superbraid line. Be careful casting when using split shot or other weights as it is very easy to tangle due to the bolo effect. Because it is so limp and thin, knots are very difficult to untangle, so make sure you also have sharp scissors for when you need to retie. Wish it came in other less visible to the fish colors. Until then, I use a 3 to 4 foot flourocarbon leader. October 17, 2012

Strong as & less memory than Fireline I spooled 8# test of this to a 1000 series Shimano and could not have been happier. The spool was a little overloaded, but no "nests", and casting was a breeze even with light lure in wind hunting for the smallies. The shape is rounder than fireline, and memory is non-existent, it makes Fireline look like stiff dental floss. September 10, 2012

It's great......but...... Using on a medium action spinning rod really like the no-stretch on long retrieves. Have to retie more often than mono. Casting distance seems less than mono. August 12, 2012
Absolutely No Backlash!!! I am very impressed with this fishing line! I put it on a Cardinal Abu-Garcia reel before my fishing trip to the St. Lawrence River. I casted hundreds of times and no backlash or bird nesting! I have tried many other brands and have never had results like this line. Although it is pricey, I highly recommend it. Will be putting this type of line on all of my medium reels! August 7, 2012
