Rated 1 out of 5 by It is a piece of junk! I would like to get my money back with some apologie from the Manufacture. December 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great line Cast easier and farther than any line I have ever used. Priced way to high. I buy it on clearance. October 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Breaks way to easy! At first I thought this was the best line given it does cast very far and it has no line memory. Only problem is when I tried to set a hook on a bass the line broke almost every time. This was with 8lb test. I noticed even while tying to a hook a applying a little pressure the line broke in my hand. Lost multiple hooks and plastic worms on casts that broke the line and this is with minimal wgt. Eventually gave up and switched out to a different line. I'm still searching for a no memory alternative. September 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best line ever This is the best line I've ever used for ice fishing. Doesn't freeze like braids but has the same strength and is easier to work with. No memory is incredible. Tried on one pole last year and strung six more this year. March 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cast it a mile, but loose your lure All the reviews said nanofil had no stretch, no memory, longer cast, and very slick. All that is true! I was amazed at how far I could cast! But if the line breaks before the fish is in the boat, I'd rather use my boot laces. The first time the line broke, I thought I caught a huge pike and it cut the line quick. A few cast later, the lure got snagged on a stump, and I know I didn't pull on the rod too hard. But the line broke close to the reel, almost like the line had a random week spot. I lost $18 in lures that day, and I'm not willing to give Berkley another 20 because I may have bought a bad batch of line. February 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love Berkley products I tried this line out for the first time and I was not disappointed. I have always purchased Berkley products and I am never dissatisfied. July 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great casting line. For spinning reels, this is a great casting line, sensitive and won't stretch BUT easily gets brittle after a couple fishing trips (took 2 trips). Once that happens the line breaks easily. Also the price is a little over the top since the line quality doesn't last long and you're only getting 150 yards. June 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible stuff All day yesterday this line kept breaking. I found that it frays and then breaks. I lost several lures due to this. May 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stuff! While it is pricy, I find the nanofil fishing line to be a good product. It is a specialty fishing line though, so it should not be used by someone who is new to fishing. I go fishing 2-3 times a week, and it is most useful in murky water or with a long flourocarbon leader. It does require you to use a double palomar knot, with a wet line while cinching the knot down. Examples of this knot can be found on Berkley's website, and I recommend using a swivel to tie into, then a leader of a different (cheaper) line on which to tie your lure. To break it down to pros and cons pros long lasting (no need to restring on a frequent basis) no knots and birds nests very long casting smooth and quiet easy to tie knots because of low memory does not absorb water lightweight and thin cons easy to see underwater, hence the leader or murky water usage expensive special knots and setup (you want to backfill your spool with monofilament) slippery May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nano Fil Good but not perfect Nanofil is very good braid. It cast long and is very slick. But there is the rub! It is difficult to tie knots with it. Tieing to a floro leader is tough. It took me several tries with the slecial knots to make a solid connection. After that, it was great. April 16, 2013
