This thing is amazing. Three times as bright as my Maglite 3D incandesant.

real problems
I had a problem with trying remove the battery cap which eventually i had to use a pipe wrench to remove to check the batteries on my d cell maglite to investigate why it would not light up. After checking out some trouble shooting forums I found that several users were having the same problems, the batteries swell up and leak acid onto the cap threads. I called maglite and they said that is what happens a lot and they do not warrenty that problem. Sounds to me like that they have the problem. Do not purchase this product if you expect any user support from maglite.

Really bright!
I've been a fan of maglites for decades, this is my first LED model, and I must say that I am impressed by the brightness. I am looking forward to the long battery and bulb life. Otherwise classic maglite construction.
