Great Fishing Rod!!!
I ordered the product online, because my Dick's doesn't carry any of the Blair Wiggins products for some reason. Probably because they have nothing for saltwater fishing. You would think they could at least put a little saltwater nook in the store. Anyway, the rod arrived very quickly and very well packed. The rod appeared to be very well made, but I still needed to test it out. After going out and catching 7 Red Snapper all over 36" and a 6' Black Tip Shark, I will have to give the rod my full approval. It stood up to all of that abuse without a bit of hesitation. It really is a very well made product, but Blair wouldn't promote it if it wasn't!!!

incredible backbone for fighting big fish, Iam using 80lb braided line and they work together great.

Finally got the Rod I've always wanted
I have been waiting for somebody to make a rod with enough drag produced by the rod itself but with a soft enough tip to throw live baits to 200 lb tarpon. Retiring my 30 lb rod. Matched the 7'6" rod with the Sabalos 7000 reel, spooled with 375 yards of 50 lb Power Pro. Reel has 25 lb of drag, this combo is great on everything from grouper in 200' of water; really manhadles them out of their rocky lair, to AJ's and tarpon, to sailfish as big as they get. it says 3/8-2 oz but will throw a 3 oz popper with no strain. This is my new tuna rig up to 150 lbs. I used it once and went and bought a second the next day. Great parabolic bend all the way through the rod. Loaded up great with a 1 1/4 oz DOA Swimming Mullet and cast 30 yards. With live Pinfish, I could feel every twitch of thier tails behind a 1 1/2 oz egg sinker. Great knocker rig rod. I only wish I had bought one for cobia season. Next spring - COBIA JIGS!

wow!!!
the best rod i have ever used for big game fish!!!went to the keys the past summer and wow!!!!this rod can handle 200 pound tarpon with no problem!!!set ur drag right and man will u have fun.i put a shimano triton conventional reel on this bad boy and go to work!!
