don't buy these gloves had immediate wear after a couple of matches foam began to wear off. had nice grip when i first bought but i was very disappointed with these gloves. i would save the money and buy different gloves. i also noticed a hole on top of one of the fingers. November 25, 2013
Not Worth the Price. I bought these at the start of my Sophomore soccer season that began in mid-August, and they are already barely useable. By mid september I had a hole in my right hand index finger. Now, by October, the foam on the palm is disappearing and the catching ability is an issue. Now, I do use these for both practices and games, however they did not last every a month before showing issues of ware. They do not have the durability that this price should guarantee. I would just spend the extra $10 or $20 and get some good Nike or Adidas ones October 20, 2013
No Grip These gloves I bought because I was familiar with Reusch so I thought, get those so I got them and I played a couple matches and they had ok grip but by the fourth match they had no grip. October 19, 2013
Nice Step Up This was the first set of gloves my son has used outside of the "$12.00" specials that provide a bit of foam and that is all. He received them for Christmas in 2012 as a gift. He really liked the extra protection given by the finger stays and they kinda had his hands in the right position to catch a ball. That was a nice step up for him from the non-reinforced gloves he had previously used. I've seen the $150.00 + gloves the pros use... I think that is overkill for someone my son's age #U11 - U12#. In addition, he thought there was just a little more "tackiness" to the foam on the gloves which made catching harder kicked balls a bit easier. However as they have been used, the foam has been pretty chewed up. I was hoping #based on the extra money spent over the cheaper varieties# they would last until his fall season began #yes, he plays soccer year round#. My best estimate is that from January 2013 - May 2013, he has played 30 - 35 games as a goalie. He does not use these goalie gloves for practice... only games. All seams are still intact. There are no loose threads or holes poking through any of the fingers. The velcro straps fit him well enough to get a good secure fit on his hands. If your son / daughter plays a "regular" season #say 15 games or so#, I'd fully recommend these and would guess you'd get at least a year out of them #fall & spring season#. May 12, 2013
