Got home and found the laminate had separated at handle, some glue and wood screw did the fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MontanaFlyFish Great For The Price!
I am writing this review although I have not actually fished with it yet. I don't anticipate there being a problem. (I am not going to spend $100+ on a net) So, I did buy the Walmart $19.99 rubber net brand first, but after looking at it, I was rather disappointed with how small the net/basket depth was. This Frabil clear rubber net seems it will hold some nice fish up to 17-18 inches. I think it is a great price when comparing to the expensive novelty brands out there. I will say this rubber net is a tad bit heavier then the conventional fabric net. Whoever, I will take the little extra weight offsetting my small flies being caught in the fabric nets and ruining the flies while trying to untangle them. Hope this review helps......Good luck fishing, Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Troutguy Good product
Took this net to south-central Pennsylvania for some heavy duty trout fishing. Used it all day every day for as week and didn't tangle a single hook, tippet, or leader in the vanyl mesh, which made release of fish easy, fast, and much safer for the fish. The only drawback is that it's somewhat heavier than the net I used before, but that was a small price to pay. Overall, I'm delighted with this Frabill net.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DH Decent product, REALLY slipshod service!
This is a typical decent-quality Frabill product. The laminated wood frame is nothing special ? it's obviously mass-produced, but it's as effective as it needs to be for the functional tool that it is. If you're looking for a hand-carved & artistically-finished heirloom quality hardwood fishing net, this isn't the deal for you. But then again, it's not priced at $120.00 or more like those nets are. The synthetic "rubbery" net material is highly recommended for catch & release trout anglers, since it helps to protect the delicate slime layer on the trout's skin surface. Rubbing the "slime" off of a fish will greatly increase it's chances of infection & mortality after it's released. With that said, my item arrived in a VERY poorly-packed shoddy-quality cardboard (sort of!) box with a small bit of clear scotch tape attached in a vain attempt to hold the box closed. It didn't work. The net was literally hanging OUT of the box! Thankfully, the net's frame is tough & really nothing special, but if I had ordered one of the afore-mentioned expensive nets, the damage would have been critical. What is it with you people at "Dick's?" This is the type of mediocre service and lack of attention to detail that has just LOST you a customer. Summary? Yes, I recommend that you buy this net ... just buy it from a different retailer!
