Stiga Master Series ST2100 Indoor Table Tennis Table 2.4 5 15 15
Wonderful Great Product. Took about 4 hours to assemble. Issue with wheels (Caster Assemblies). Even after reviewing other reviews about the product and other customers' experiences with wheels not staggering after assembly, I still purchased the product. After several hours of assembly, to my dismay, I discovered that the wheels were not offset and left a gap in the middle of the table. Luckily, I had the correct tools to drill pilot holes within Connecting End Rail to allow the wheels to be offset and permit the table to join together properly for play. I knew in advance that this may happen and even attempted to assemble the 2nd Connecting End Rail opposite the first, and still ran into the same issue. It appears the problem is that the manufacturer provided two identical Connecting End Rails making it impossible for the wheels to offset. Bottom Line: My family loves the table, as do I. It folds up neatly allowing for easy storage, great product. Hopefully the manufacturer is aware of the same issue customers are having, regarding the wheels. I plan on emailing them and making them aware. April 23, 2013
You get what you pay for (mostly). I bought the table on sale for $150, had it put together in a few hours, and didn't have the problem other people had with the wheels, though i see how it can happen. Assembly is difficult, and the instructions definitely could be clearer. As for the table itself, it is 4 pieces, which, as others have said, effects gameplay if the ball hits the middle seam. The tabletop itself is pretty flimsy too, compared to other tables so be careful not to put too much weight on it. Also, the wheels don't swivel, which kind of defeats the purpose of having them at all when trying to move it as it only rolls left and right. Overall, it's a pretty junky table if your serious about the game, or if you want it to last. March 1, 2013
Poor directions - But you have the right parts... I'll try to keep this objective... It's a cheap ping pong table. If you want something for the kids to play on, it's perfect. But, it is a four piece table and has a crack down the middle. The kids don't care. If you're a serious player, don't buy cheap garbage and come on websites and gripe about it. There is a mistake in the directions. It clearly states to build both middle braces (with the wheels) the same. If you do this, the wheels will line up perfectly ON each other and the table will not come together in the middle. Thankfully, I noticed the wheel problem BEFORE I screwed it to the second half of the table. I returned to this website to see if anyone else was having the same problem. I found all these negative reviews. Let me save you some headaches. The wheels are different lengths from the end of the bar. If you put the second bar's wheels and braces on the OPPOSITE side of the bar, the wheels will stagger when you put the halves together. The bar goes on the second half of the table SAME SIDE UP, but FLIPPED 180 degrees from the first. If this doesn't make sense, put the four pieces upside down on the floor before you start assembly. Once the bars are assembled, place the brackets over the pilot holes to see if the wheel stagger. February 26, 2013
Wrong parts It would be nice if Stiga included the correct parts. The wheels are supposed to be staggered, so the table can be pushed together. I know this, because my brother-in-law has the same table. Instead Stitga included two of the same assembly bars, so the wheels are perfectly aligned and the table can't be pushed together. After 3 hours or assembly, I now have to take the table apart and drill new holes so the wheels can be staggered. Save yourself the hassle and stay away from this unit. January 2, 2013
bad design Wheels in the way, same problem as other reviewers January 2, 2013
Don't buy this table My husband purchased this table as a surprise and we are definitely surprised. It's complicated to put together (which I expected) but the wheels in the center keep the table from sitting flush in the center. Has anyone figured out how to solve this? The website for escaladesports doesn't list this table. Even the pictures are just drawings- I want to see how this table is expected to be completely flush on all sides- and can I make an adjustment so it does? I'm hoping to figure this out soon. Any suggestions? January 1, 2013
Complicated Takes a long time to piece together and it ends up with gap. Wheels are in the way. Of course I see all these similar reviews after purchasing it. December 27, 2012
Too many pieces & poor design I will begin by saying that we will be using this table for family fun. It took my husband by himself 4 hours to put it together because it has so many pieces and one or two did not fit. Then when he went to put the net on the wheels were in the way. Please do not pay full price for this! The description should include "needs to be good with tools" and the manufacture should include extra bolts in case one is faulty. Hope to get a few years of enjoyment.... December 26, 2012
impossible to put together Followed instructions exactly - wheels do not allow the table to be push togther. The wheels align exactly the same on both sides of the table not allowing the table to be pushed together correctly - there is a 2.5" gap between the table making it impossible to play. Very dissappointed after spending so much time putting it together! December 25, 2012
Great value The ping pong table is a great value for the price. It comes in 4 sections which I prefer since we play in the basement. Otherwise, it would be difficult to haul and and move. The table folds up nice and is easy to store. The assembly is time consuming and I have read reviews about other people having issus. We had the same issues but found our mistakes thus there is not a manufacturing error. Overall, very pleased and would recommend it to a family member or friend. December 25, 2012
