Rated 5 out of 5 by Very pleased I prefer cork over foam grips, and graphite over composite blanks, and this rod has them. I build custom rods as a hobby, and could not build this rod for this price, The reel seat and guides are decent quality, and the wraps are centered. I like it! October 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product This was a gift for my boyfriend. He already had 2 of the same rod so I am guessing it is a winner! January 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding value Recently purchased the 7'6" MH spin rod. The blank is graphite composite which makes it slightly heavier than 100% graphite, however, should also be a bit stronger than all graphite. I paired it with a Lew's carbon Gold 4000 spin reel and am very impressed with the feel and action of this combo. Caught a few small striped bass so far. I believe this rod has a fast taper, as there is no mention of this on the product. I own many other inshore spin rods. This Ande rod, at $49., in my opinion, is an outstanding value. Rated 2 out of 5 by Very disappointed. Although these rods look great and have a nice feel to them, they have horrible quality eyes on them. I purchased two of these rods, one in medium action and one in medium heavy action. Each rod had lost a ceramic insert in less than 6 months. One rod has lost two inserts with a year. Just gluing the ceramic insert back in place would not be a big deal at all, but the problem is the outer metal ring that holds the ceramic insert actually breaks open. I could just take the rod to get the eyes repaired, but it would probably need all of them done to avoid future issues. Not worth it for a $50 rod. All of my gear is garage-kept and well maintained. Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't Go Wrong I've punished this "low end" rod and it's worked just as well along side of my $300 customs. Upon close examination next to my Star spinner, the blank, guides and reel seat are identical - the wraps even look like they were done side by side. Hmmmm.... From now on, the wise choice IMO would to be to kick the extra hundred or two into the reel. December 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by ande tournament inshore spinning rods I just received 2 rods , the Ande 7 1/2 foot inshore spinning rods from Dicks Sporting Goods .Couldn't be more pleased. I have paid 200.00 dollars [ or more] in the past for custom built rods. I really can't tell much difference between Ande rods. and custom rods. Except Ande is a lot less expensive. June 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by good deal Although price was confusing (item had two different price tags during a $10 discount promo),I feel that rod was a deal. I was under impression that rod was to be marked down further from tag price. I may have been mistaken. I am not one to argue. clerk was nice and said that tag WAS final price. Overall, I like the store. Good selection and it is one mile from my house. Besides, my girlfriend is from Pittsburgh! April 14, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by very help with dicks sporting good Very helpful staff in the fishing department Bobby was a great help in the Sunrise store in fort lauderdale FL August 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice inexpensive rod For the money this is a great deal. I got two of these (7' M/H) on sale and for the price they can't be beat. They are put together nicely and even the guides line up correctly! Overall, the fit and finish is very good and the rod is a nice light weight. July 18, 2013
