Rated 5 out of 5 by No more hurting feet My previous shoes were pretty old and had very little support. I had constant pain in my feet. Since I've been wearing these, no more pain and I feel like walking more often. Very comfortable and supportive. But everyone's feet are different. I've only been wearing about 3 weeks, so I can't comment if these are durable and long lasting. January 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shoes at a great price. I tried a bunch of different brands. Many were much more expensive than these, some nearly 3 times as much. Usually you get what you pay for but in this instance, these shoes were more comfortable than the more expensive brands and just as equally built. March 7, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by What happened to Columbia quality? After four years my Columbia Traverse boots are a little worn. They were the first Columbia shoes I have bought and they have held up well. A trip to Dick's found me surprised at the lack of selection of Columbia foot wear. I settled on the Northbend without trying them on. First mistake. I picked up my usual size, but man these boots felt small. After wearing them for only an hour around the house my feet hurt bad. When I got the Traverse, it was like they were broken in right out of the box. I returned the boots and tried a larger size but they still didnt fit right. Having read some other similar reviews I guess I'll have to try Merrill or Keen. April 21, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe A good quality shoe, well made and comfortable at a good price. It has great arch support that helps my legs from getting tired when on me feet all day. I will buy the product or manufacturer again. November 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great bang for the buck! I bought these shoes, took them out of the box, and went on a 3 day, 25 mile hike in Blackwater Falls, WV. The trails were a mix of wet bogs, rocky and muddy inclines, and "not so dried up" creek beds, up down and around Caanon Mtn. Dry traction was great, wet traction was adequate, and even with a ~50lb pack my feet never got sore. There was a pressure point up around the top of the shoe on my ankle but I would expect that with any new low top shoe, and it wasn't enough to cause any blisters. My socks stayed dry, even through the wet/muddy portions of the trail. One word of advice, the shoes don't breathe- AT ALL, so change your socks often. September 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for price Fits really well and true to your normal shoe size. Rugged and stylish without breaking the bank !! Only problem I have had so far is some of the lugs on the sole separating from the shoe.... Ill get some hard core glue and seal it back up as its where the shoe bends from naturally walking. I haven't hiked with them yet just casual outdoor use so far. Except for the minor issue with the sole, Im sure these will hold up for a while !! August 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not made in China My first priority when looking for shoes was that they NOT be made in China, no matter the price or style. My goal was to find similar shoes made here in the US, but that seems to be impossible. These are made in Malaysia, which us slightly more acceptable than China. By the way, they're fairly comfortable and seem like they'll do the job for which they were bought. May 28, 2012
