Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Glove - You Pay for What You Get The Nokona glove is the first glove I've purchased in 16 years. The last glove I purchased was while I was in high school, and now my sons are starting to play baseball, so I decided I would buy a new glove for myself. I have played baseball my entire life and with the exception of a couple specialty gloves, like catcher and first base, I have owned only 4 gloves since little league. I only mention the history because I know what a good glove feels like and what it's like to use and care for a glove over many years. The Nokona glove is clearly made from great leather. It's a little heavier than other brands, and takes a little longer to break in, but you can feel the quality. I have no doubt that I will own this glove for 20+ years. At [$], the glove is expensive, but the glove quality is worth the price and I feel is a better quality than some gloves priced at $300 or more. If you are a serious baseball player, you can't go wrong with a Nokona. July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great glove. Takes a long time to break in. It is made in the USA. The leather is a good quality leather. It has a great pocket for infield. June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Infield Glove I bought this glove for playing third base. Its a great fit. It feels like its part fo your body. bot bulky at all. Holds its form well and is easy to break in. I would recommend Nokona to anyone looking to buy a new glove. All their gloves are made from premium materials and are made in the USA. Bet baseball glove manufacturer, hands down! June 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A darn fine glove. This is the best glove I have ever put my hand in. I have fairly large hands and have never been able to find a glove that fits right. The golden rule of "If it doesn't fit right in the store, it will never feel good." definitely rings true. When I put this one on it seriously "fit like a glove". As it gets worked in it is only getting better. Well worth the price tag for such an amazing glove. From just playing in the backyard to playing in ANY kind of league, you will NOT be disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply the best glove company out there An amazing glove, better than any I have had. I play every position but catcher...works at everyone. All my friends that have other gloves, wish they had mine. Outstanding glove...nothing even comes close. Great feeling leather, breaks in nice, looks great. Wonderful craftsmanship. Will be my last glove...Nokona is my brand. July 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Made in USA This product is a great example of American made quality. Feels great from the first catch. The leather is far superior to the other gloves that are made outside the USA. If more people would check the "made in USA" logo when they make a purchase, we would have full employment and enjoy better products. Thank you Dick's for handling the Nokona product line. Rated 5 out of 5 by I am really enjoying this glove This was a bit of a stretch for me price wise but I really wanted to buy something made in America for once. I had heard several people say how hard these were to break in, and that concerned me a bit, but I took a chance. After using the Nokona Conditioner and a glove mallet, and of course using the glove, this thing was like butter after one week. It is still firm like you want in the fingers, but opens and closes effortlessly. And the pocket is perfect.....I can't tell you how happy I am that I made this purchase....I have never had a glove even close to this nice.... June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Childhood Memory! We live in Sacramento a drove to Dick's in Modesto to purchase a glove for my son....It was worth the drive!! The selection of baseball gloves and the true knowledge of the staff regarding the gloves was impressive. We have many sporting good stores in our area but none with the selection of high end gloves like Dick's. The sales person took the time and fielded many questions to assure we were buying the right glove for him. Most other stores you can't even find someone to help you let alone answer your questions. Once we selected the glove they helped start the breaking in process by steaming the glove, beating the glove and oiling/creaming the glove. The quality of the Nokona glove is awesome and the fact that you are buying a baseball glove made in the United States/Texas feels good too!! This is a day both my son and I will always remember. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best glove I've ever owned The single best glove I have ever owned. I've used if year round for 6 years and it is as sturdy as the day I bought it. It took a while to break in, but you can easily do it in one off season. All in all, an excellent glove and definitely worth the price. July 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the Best I love this glove, it's hands down the best glove I have ever owned. Just the sound of the ball hitting the pocket and the ease of getting the ball out to throw are amazing. It's made out in Nocona, TX between Witchita Falls, TX and Dallas in a small mom and pop type factory. Check out Texas Country Reporter on YouTube there is a video showing the factory and manufacture process. Breaking in the glove is easy "JUST PLAY CATCH". You can also put some of Nokona's leather conditioner, put that on and take a couple of baseballs and a belt, now just tighten the belt with the balls in the pocket. Just do that when you're not playing. Another thing, "DO NOT USE HEAT TO BREAK IN". Even steaming, why would you expose leather to water and heat. You want to stretch the leather fibers not break them. It's a great glove and should last a lifetime. May 25, 2014
