Rated 4 out of 5 by softball dad These balls are a bit pricey They work great through the machine but you have to make sure and read the instructions and let them go through the machine about twenty five times before you slow down the machine. These balls cost more than softballs for batting practice and they really cant be used for much else than the machine. December 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by jodi13 Great for indoor practices I purchased this item as a supplement for using wiffle balls indoors. The smaller ball helps the player track the ball. I even used the ball to bounce it off the floor. March 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by bc great hitting works great for my 11 year daughter trying fast pitch for first time, balls being soft help with the fear of getting hit. September 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by CherieA Fantastic Pitching Machine Ball for Batters Afraid of the Ball I was skeptical when buying these balls because they are slightly smaller than a reg baseball and light weight. But my 7 yr-old would miss the ball when batting because he would close his eyes and fall back from the plate when swinging. He was afraid of it and who can really blame him as he was hit in the hand while batting and it drew blood under his thumb nail with a regular baseball. But we started using these and found that they worked very well with our PracticePro gas powered pitching machine. Unfortunately they can be affected by the wind if it is real strong. It would be best if we could use it in a gym but actually the wind just made the pitches a little more challenging which helps with the hand-eye coord anyway. These balls hit my son 3 times on the hand while batting (because of the wind) and he just shrugged and got ready again. He stopped falling away when swinging and kept his eyes open. He improved dramatically and found it fun to bat rather than scary. We will also use these to help him with catching because he jumps to the side and misses the ball a lot now ... because he's afraid of it. I'm sure these balls will end the fear and build the confidence he needs. It is such a turn around. While these balls are pricey, they are well worth the money given the night and day difference they made in my son overcoming his fear of the ball. May 18, 2013
