Love this bat great buy Great bat. Don't think twice. I picked up my first bat at Dick's and was attracted by the price and sceptical that bamboo would stack up to maple or ash. I figured to give it a try since bamboo is the strongest wood in the world. My bat was white barrel and black handle finish. Like below posters I noticed the glossy handle finish and immediately took sand paper and removed the finish on the handle (not sure why other posters didn't do this aswell). Didn't take BP with the bat, just immediately used it in a game. First AB lined single up the middle and the sound was loud and very sharp. All in all, going into today's game I was batting .417 (175 AB's) with 4HR's; 2 3B's; 23 2B's. Everytime this bat makes contact on the barrel it sounds incredible. Everytime a sharp loud crack. Better than maple. The barrel seems soft because it has more than usual seem indents than maple or ash. I wasn't concerned with the barrel indents, but some may care. Today, I brooke the bat on a pitch I got off the end of the bat. The ball went 300 feet to down right field line for a double. It didn't feel like it brooke on contact. It was my fault the bat brooke i got caught cheating on a 3-2 changeup and barelly stayed back enough to get the bat on the ball. Atleast, it went down a winner. Hope my next bat is just as good. I got three months out of this bat and over 175 AB's. Not bad after several miss hits. June 23, 2012
Craks when hit good :) My sons first hit swinging a woody in a game, was double. You could hear the crak as the ball exploded off the bat. Son is very happy with it. June 12, 2012
Bamboo let me down The bat was balanced really well and had a large sweet spot. However, the handle is extremely slippery (even with gloves and pine tar). Even though the sweet spot is larger then average the ball off bat seemed to feel wet. Almost dead like. All in all good bat for BP. Wouldnt use in a game. June 4, 2012
BamBooBat I play in a summer wood bat league and so far this bat is great! The first time I used it in a live bp practice I put one over the fence without much effort at all. It is a very solid bat and has taken some miss hits very well. I love that it still has that great crack sound of wood as the ball is driven off of the bat. The only negative aspect of this bat so far is the grip. The bat has a glossy coating on it which makes it look nice but is not very practical. It requires either tape, pine tar, gloves, or a combination of the three. I will definitely be buying another bat from this company...if it ever breaks. May 14, 2012

JUNK!! The item was purchased online. When it arrived it was split down he center. If the bat can't withstand the elements of shipping how is on suppose to hit a ball and expect it to last. I returned it to the store a purchased a differnt brand and wood. December 19, 2011
