The Tippmann 98 Custom Platinum Marker is easier to upgrade, modify and maintain. It features a new Quick Thread FlatlineŽ Barrel, which attaches as easily as any other barrel to save players significant time and effort. The new Platinum Series maintains the core features of the original 98 including all aluminum die cast receiver, quick-release feeder elbow and a 200-round hopper. It's fully compatible for CO2, compressed air, or nitrogen.

Great for Woodball The Tippmann 98 Custom Platinum Marker is a well built, rugged paintball marker. It doesn't shoot 20 balls per second, so it wasn't designed for speedball. But it is great for woodball and has unlimited aftermarket upgrades to modify your gun. Replacement parts are plentiful and the gun is easy to work on. I own 30 of them! To improve the accuracy of the gun I suggest one buy a longer barrel (14"). There is a reason why just about every paintball arena carries Tippmann 98s has rentals. Tippmann is a great company and their 98 Custom is hard to beat for the price! August 21, 2012
Tippmann 98 I used this gun as recreation and for fun on the courses; its terrible. The marker shoots 3 to 4 paintballs at a time, spraying all over the field. This gun is inaccurate, and has no range. I do not reccomend this gun to any players. August 6, 2012
