Rated 1.5 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great trap Have used these for years with good success. Good quality trap November 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by not constructed very good The second time I pulled the trap up the hook seperated and the string broke. I throw the trap in the water. Good-by September 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not good for crabbing The cage doesn't fully close, and if you aren't careful, you will bend one of those 4 flaps to reverse side which will make this useless since it won't close up at all and then will likely be collapse (on to the bottom side!) when you pull it up. Also, the reason it won't fully close is because the center ring is not a circular ring instead its made up of wire bend into a circle ring if the lines are caught in between the ring end and the extension wire then the cage will not close! Basically if you want this thing to work smoothly then you will need to do some modification, like get a real circular ring or washer instead of using what they have. August 22, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fell Apart Headline is enough said. Lines came off. Crabs stole my bunker. scored with the droplines. Came home and threw this trap out. Oh well had fun anyway. July 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk Complete junk, does not close properly at all. Don't waste time or money messing with it. June 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Flap action I recently purchase two Eagle diamond crab traps. I attempted to use these for my first two crab traps , but there was no success. Theres a seriously problem with this design. Which leaves me cautious to purchase Anything from Dick's, for that matter. The strings keeps getting jammed in the double coil on the relief bracket. Which causes one or two of the flaps not to if I did have a couple crabs in the trap , I will never see them. To make matters worse, I bought the bigger one after the first problem . With the same problem happening, thats when I noticed, this a common denominator for this design. The size is great on both traps ! So if this was made with a single coil , looped all the way around with a weld...PROBLEM SOLVED !! August 6, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by JUNK Do not waste your time on this product, cage never closes properly crabs walk right out. July 31, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by traps would not close I tried using both traps that I purchased at Dick's but they would not close. July 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by It never worked. I gave up using it Do not buy one. Yes it's cheap but useless July 23, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Would not buy again, threw away. Wanted to start a new summer hobby and since I have notgone crabbing in years, decided to return to the sport and enjoy the cusine with our children. Really disappointed about the trap, didn't close properly, to difficult to manage and untangle each time. We had experinced individuals on the pier who suggested we just throw it away...we did.
