Great tent and well worth the investment
Before this tent we were using a Kelty Ridgway and it was a great tent for 6 years. But know with the kid gone it is just the wife, dog and I so we decided to downsize to something smaller then a small house (15'x17'). Did a lot of research and being prior military and more time in canvas tents then I can remember I knew that is what I wanted to get for its durability and long life span if cared for correctly. When I decided on the Kodiak 10'x10' I picked it up in the store and was able to carry it and take it rigth home and set it up. It only took 25 minutes with reading the instructions and I did use all 16 stakes to secure it. I suggest following the instructions and wetting it down, especially on the seems to seal them up. I didn't have any leaks so that was the first positive. The first thing I liked was the seperate storage canvas bags for the polls/stakes and then one for the tent itself. Made easy to arrainge in the vehicle. The first use was two nights in good weather and solid ground and I set the tent up by myself in 15 minutes. Then I was even more impressed with the tent and the weather/wind protection it provides. I found this out by forgetting to leave a door unzipped when putting it away. When I took the support poles down the tent still stayed partly in the upright position as the air wasn't escaping. The second time we were on hard sandie type ground and the stakes stayed in just fine and didn't move for 2 days. Second night we had 25-30 mph winds for almost 8 hours and nothing came through the tent. We also had nothing come through the vents at the top of the tent but they worked as we were at the coast and got down to 38 degrees that night and no condensation on the inside of the tent. Over all great tent. Little heavy and don't wanna pack it more then 5 minutes from the vehicle to set up if carrying it. Only design flaw is as said in other reviews is the entry cover as it does sag and you have to push the water away as it will flow there.

Best Four Season Tent We've Ever Owned
Bought our Kodiak Canvas 10x10 last year (2011), used it over the Fall and then in Spring of 2012 here in Colorado, it is by far the best tent I have ever owned. It holds up to wind, rain and it is so easy to set up. We have added large size cots and quality sleeping bags, it is so nice, we sold our motorhome and do all the camping in the Kodiak Canvas tent.

A serious tent.
Unless I have to strap a tent to my back, I camp in my Kodiak Canvas tent. Because they are made with canvas they are very versitile. I use it in 100+ degree weather in hot summer, and in 5 degree weather in the winter. I expect it to last for many many years. Superb construction.
