Great Gift! Although my son has not yet actually "used" this chest protector - he is thrilled with it and knows it will protect him while paintballing. January 15, 2013
Good for Price Been playing for 12+ years in Ohio area ex sponsored (dont play enough anymore to be.) and have seen many people with chest protection. For the price you cant ask for better than what NXe has to offer here. Pros: Great for the price. Bought this for my 10 year old brother for his first time playing. He is lanky little guy no more than 90 pounds fit him like a glove. Shot him with it on a few times at standard scenario field Crono speeds (higher than fast pased games such as speedball or hyper) and he said it didn't hurt a bit. Balls broke like normal skin for fair play and you still feel enough to know to when your hit. Fits easy under his shirt for more comfort. Tried it on myself and let him shoot me Im 6 foot and weigh about 240 pounds fit me well protected just fine so the one size fits all is on the spot. I dont use them on field but great for first time players or those who just feel a little extra padding is nice. No welts or bruising anywhere in the protected area. Cons: the vent holes are not big so it can get you a little hotter than you may want but still keeps you cool enough if you move. Also another issue with the holes they do seem to be large enough if you get shot they may leave a little sting but a lot less than a direct skin shot. Didn't test that theory but it is possible. Keep in mind we tested for distance play not up close fast paste games such as speedball but I am sure it would offer the same protection. (marked for what it was used for.) March 25, 2012
