Decent sight
Picked this sight up at Dicks for $10. Put it on an 870 Express which has a ribbed barrel. One thing I may suggest is check your front sight and how it's removed before you pull the trigger on this one. Luckily mine had a different front sight than your standard 870. This site uses a screw that holds the sight to the barrel. Haven't shot it yet but looks pretty sweet and definitely makes it easier to see. Hope this helps.

It works
I purchased this item to replace the front sight on a S/W 22. I was having a real hard time seeing the factory sight. So with a little ingeniuty I ground off the factory sight and afixed the tru glow with very little diffculty. First time at the range I went from 10 in groups down to 3 inch all at 15 yards, all for $16 instead of $50 plus. I bet it really works on the shotgun.
