Rated 5 out of 5 by Diamond dad Best bat for distance
I purchased this bat online sight unseen to the dismay of my 12 year old daughter.i had confidence that this would be just the bat we were looking for because of previous experience with catalyst products. My now 14 year old son used a 4 year old catalyst that a friend pulled out of storage a few years ago and was amazed at the pop that his catalyst had.His friends and their parents started to scramble to find his bat when he started hitting 275 foot home runs. But they couldn't find the bat because it was so old.Yes this is a softball bat but the results are very similar. The ball explodes off of this bat.The best part of this bat is that the sweet spot has expanded dramatically with newer models. The bat does have a unique sound. When a ball is struck cleanly it sounds like bp before a MLB game. These bats are very durable and do not break.like all composite bats it gets more live with more use. When these bats crack and get dinged up it only enhances the whip the bat has.If you find this hard to believe just ask any college baseball or softball player. When you think the bat is broken it has just reached its optimum whip , if that makes any sense. One more unique feature of this bat is that even in extremely cold temps this bat does not sting your hands when you don't catch one square on the head.perfectly designed bat in my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kaitlyn OK bat, but not much pop to it.
I got this bat as a christmas present and have been using it for travel ball and high school ball ever since. I'm not saying it is a bad bat, but for the price i would have expected it to have more pop to it. It also makes a really weird sound (like a rattling sound). This isn't my first composite bat and i've never had a bat that made that sound before, but it sounds like i cracked it. Over all though, its been a pretty good bat but not worth the money. My Easton Reflex is a better bat and has more pop to it.
