BAT SPEED!! I purchased this for my 7 year old, for a 7 year old his swing is excellent great technique and pitch selection but, he was not making contact after video analysis and the fact that he mostly hit to the opposite side of the field I came to the conclusion of slow bat speed. I purchased the Quantum which is aluminum not Carbon Composite, they are the same bat with the main difference being the material they are made from. I figured for his age he will outgrow this bat in a season or two so I will save $139.99 with aluminum. The first 10 pitches he hit 8 0f 10 right up the middle and pulled a few!! Definitely increased his bat speed. I will recommend this bat to everyone! Composite will give you more distance (approx. 10-20') so if your player is a good contact hitter spend the extra money for the composite core if he is struggling go with the aluminum get him to make contact and then upgrade in a season or two when he outgrows this one. Easton Bat Great bat. My 12 yr old was looking for a little heavier bat and this bat has worked out well so far. The sweet spot seems to be a little bigger, my son has mentioned several times how the ball comes off the bat better than his previous bat. January 29, 2013

Handle Snapped Very surprised that the handle snappped after limited use. I will have to send back and pay shipping for a replacement to be sent. Quite annoying. September 19, 2012
Not for strong kids I think this bat would be OK for most Little Leaguers, but not for stronger kids. My son used it one game, three at-bats during All-Stars. On his HR swing, a big dent incurred. September 5, 2012

Huge barrel First I bought this bat on sale for [$] at DICKS. The barrel is huge and if you hit it in the right spot KABANG, you hit a massive home run or deep line drive to the outfield. BEST BAT EVER. Very light. July 14, 2012
Great This is the best bat I have ever had. I hit my first home run with it :) The only bad thing about it after a couple months the composite piece (the rubber peice in the middle of the bat) will start to come of the bat around the edges. overall a great bat July 5, 2012
Prefect mid range bat My 8yo loves this bat, as do quite a few of the kids on his tourney team. What I love about the bat is the weight to length ratio. His form, bat speed, and ability to make contact have all improved. He is a little guy (56 lbs), but the quality of this bat has been key to getting his swing where it needs to be.
