Great catcher's mitt for serious kid players
Still in the breaking in phase, but this is going to be a great catchers mitt. Like the smaller finger openings for smaller (kids) hands.....same goes for the easy wrist adjust to tighten. Bought it for my son who plays 10U travel baseball. Should be many years usage with the A2000 quality.

A2K needs a lot of breaking in.
Great glove. For my 12YO who plays town and travel ball. His other catcher's mitt was a nice Allstar, but wasn't offering enough padding for harder throwing (50+mph) teammates even with a palmguard inner glove. Finger slots are sized down, but stretch out nicely. Index finger cover/shield allows for placement of index finger either inside or outside of this shield, which can give yet another layer of leather between the ball and index finger. FYI- we ordered both the 32.5" and the 34" and both arrived as 32.5"-- according to Wilson, 34" doesn't exist. A LOT of glove, should fit him I think until he is probably 16. He still wears his Palmguard glove while using this mitt. Yes, it is hard to break in but this means it will not break down prematurely and will last until it is outgrown. If your son is a true competitive catcher, you will have to buy him another glove every 4-5 years or so, so you might as well buy him one that fits him well now rather than buy an adult size that he won't grow out of.
