Rated 4 out of 5 by Coach & Proud Dad The Cheapest Beginner's Stick on the Market -- But It Still Performs Reasonably Well!
I have purchased two of these sticks over the past year and a half for beginner players in my family. I purchased one as part of the starter kit (including bag and goggles) and one as just a stick. It?s a good stick, and honestly the cheapest beginner stick option on the market. I call this stick a very good value; it is dependable and easy to break in for a novice.
This stick is for the first time player between 7 and 11 years old, who are just trying the sport out for the first time; without spending nearly a $100 on a stick. I have coached 8 to 11 year old girls? lacrosse for the past two years, and now I also coach middle school girls. I see quite a few first time players, and beginner sticks. This bargain basement STX more than holds its own!
As for people complaining because the pocket and stringing become loose, this stick is only designed to last a season or so without having to be restrung. As I said, the point of this stick is to get an off the rack, already assembled, cheap lacrosse stick for a young girl who is just learning the sport. If, after a season or so, your daughter has caught the lacrosse bug, it?s time to buy a more expensive beginners stick (better stringing and materials, as well as a more comfortable and light weight shaft), or to move up to an intermediate stick ($70 to $139).
I would definitely recommend this stick for the first time player in the U9 or U11 (and maybe U13) age range. It is not the best beginner?s stick on the market, but it is one of the top 3, while still being the cheapest beginner?s stick on the market.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bridget24 Good for the price and for beginners, but..
For the cheapest price you can basically find, this stick is good especially for beginners, but once you play for a year or more the strings start getting loose and you have to constantly tighten them, or else the stick will be illegal. I would recommend for people who are just going to play for a year or something or young beginners younger than 10 maybe.

Great stick for the price. These are great for beginners up to real play. Good to have our own equipment for practice.

i had this stick for my first year of lacrosse and i am sorry but this stick is very bad. whenever i play a game it is always illegal, the stringing always gets undone, i have to re-tie it and it just gets in the way of my game.

The right stick until she decides to stick with it. She likes the color of the cage. I try to shop at Dick's armed with all the coupons and promos I can. Dick's supports our teams with coupons and promo days and gets my patronage for it.

I have had this stick for a little bit more than a month and one of the strings has already broke. This is a very poor quality stick.
