Field & Stream Field Lodge 4 Person Tent 3.4 5 34 34
Field & Stream Field Lodge 4 Person Tent This tent was on an amazing sale recently just as we were in need of one. We liked that it was big enough for two with extra room and an air mattress, and the biggest sale point for us was the vestibule that can be zipped up and closed! It keeps the front part of your tent dry so when you step out in the morning you're not outside! The quality is great, and it definitely stood up to the normal elements. May 14, 2013
leaky Tent went up reasonably fast. There is no way 4 people can fit in this tent with adults involved. It leaked at the seams . May 11, 2013
Great tent I was very pleased with this tent, went up quickly. First time set up it went through a pretty good rainstorm. No leaks, the vestibule was a great option that I would recommend everyone have if there's gonna be any rain. Overall great buy. April 23, 2013
Awesome Tent! My boyfriend and I had a originally seen a smaller version of this tent but decided on this one instead. This tent is exactly what it says in the description. Some of the reviews said it took forever to put up or it wasn't big enough to sleep 4 people.. The tent took 10 minutes to set up.. max.. and that included the rainfly.. in some seriously heavy wind.. After the set up we both got in the tent to check out the inside and layed down side by side to see how many we could fit. Four normal sized people would fit with ample space and if necessary we could fit 5 for certain. We were highly impressed with everything about this tent. The open mesh design of the tent itsself allowed for plenty of airflow. The rainfly too could be unzipped to expose mesh and allow breathability and could be zipped quickly if it did begin to rain. All the seams were sealed to prevent leaks although we have not had to use it in the rain yet. The covered entry had a ton of extra room for chairs or gear. So far this tent was a great purchase! Bigger than expected... The tent is great. Difficult for one man setup....Requires a tarp under it before setup to ensure we stay dry. A lot bigger than expected. I am 5' 7" and can stand all the way up inside. March 15, 2013
Great tent for the money! Multiple previous reviews had stated that this tent was very difficult to assemble and one even said it took them two hours! I do not understand that at all, I took the tent out brand new in the box, set it up in the dark for the first time in about 15min. The most difficult part would be figuring out which direction the rain fly goes, the zipper running up the back side through me off....for about 1 minute! The tent seemed to be constructed good and the porch is great for keeping the morning dew off of your stuff. Of course it would be tight for 4 people to sleep in, but if you are not familiar to tent ratings, welcome, this is how it is! The stakes are cheap but luckily I already had some better ones that I brought along figuring this would be the case. We had 15mph winds gusting 20-25mph on the lake shore all weekend and the tent held up fine. No rain, so I cannot comment on the waterproofing yet. Overall a great tent for the sale price of $119! pretty good tent I was pleased with the tent. easy to put up for 1 person. But the tent stakes are cheap and bend very easy. But for the most part a good product November 14, 2012
I think this is a good tent The tent is good but the tent stakes are cheap and bend, i bought better stakes. I bought this tent for my Webelos to camp in, three sleep in this tent well. It sets up fairly easy. October 21, 2012
Used Tent The tent itself is fine. Like most modern tents there is exactly enough room for the number of sleeping bags for which the tent is designed. It's also very easy to assemble. On the downside, this tent was very obviously used. We took the tent to the camp site without opening the box only to find the poles caked with dried mud and grass and the tent filled with wood chips. Already at the site we had no recourse but to use it! October 17, 2012
4 Person, no way The tent was easy enough to put up on my own (15mins tops, the instructions are not very good but it's not rocket science, if you can't work it out you should stick to golf) and after several days of heavy rain while testing at home was certainly waterproof. AS with all new tents I would recommend setting it up at home first so that you know what you're doing and can check that everything is okay. The fly fits very close though and care has to be taken to make sure it does not touch the inner tent when setting up or it will leak (but so will most tents), a little bit more clearance would have been better. The pole are lighweight fibreglass and while I had no problems I don't think I'd like to be in it in a heavy wind. The lighweight poles also mean that it would be very easy to set it up crooked and end up with the fly touching the tent. I liked the pramhead porch as I like to roll the door/window covers down and just use the mozzie nets (and see the view) and that still provides some privacy and wind shielding. I bought this tent so that I could take my dog with me as I knew my usual tent would not be big enough and this is my main gripe with it; no way could you fit 4 people in it, it is a 2 man tent at best and as such was just about the right size for me and my dog. Okay, so I am 6'4" but even so I think even somebody a 5'6" would not be able to sleep in it lengthways. In short, it's easy enough to put up but you do have to take care to set it square. It's only a 2 man tent as you really need to sleep sideways in it. Waterproof if set up correctly. I would say a good tent for use in good weather October 16, 2012
