I have a 7'2" medium casting rod. Best rod for working plastics I have ever used. I can pitch low and slow with this rod better than any rod I have owned. Making it easier to get under tree limbs and docks softly. I can feel the tick of fish eating the bait with confidence. The hook set is strong and sure, with enough flex in the rod to land the big ones. It is just a great rod.

I purchased the jig/worm rod as a back up for my G Loomis GL2 and so far it's become my favorite rod. Very light and the IM10 graphite is extremely sensitive. The reel seat is a major plus and the guides are of better quality( even better than the ones on my Loomis rod). The EVA grip and rod butt seems ok, no difference than standard cork but alteast they won't get dirty. The price tag is a little steep but you get what you pay for. A light strong rod and the Shimano warranty can't be beat.

I have five of these rods in various actions and they compare with almost any rod on the market. This may well be the best value in medium priced rods. The 2012 and 2013 rods are IM10 blanks, previously IM9 blanks were used. They also have excellent guides. The difference between the Crucial and the Cumara rod in 2012 and 2013 was the guides - alconite on one and SIC on the other. And the Crucial crankin' rod is second to none.

Very nice rod. I have a couple of the Crucials now, and I am impressed with both. I bought the 7'2" worm/jig rod, and I use it mostly for fishing w football jigs. It has the perfect taper, and length for this. Extremely sensitive, I would rank it up there with my Falcon Cara T7's, however this rod has more backbone than most med-hvy's I own. Pretty light rod, (not the lightest), but has plenty of power for those hooksets on longer casts. Nice rod, I highly reccomend it.
