PT30 So far I am impressed with this reel. Paired it with a ugly stik lite 7' rod. The total package is very light and easily fishable all day casting inshore, yet can easily handle larger fish. Even used it trolling yesterday near shore and caught a bonito with it. This is a very light reel for the size and the drag is about twice of other brands for same size reel. It is also very smooth in all operations to include a very even drag system. Will purchase another when I get the chance. May 29, 2013
Light weight but strong. So far this has been an excellent reel. Not as much line overrun with braid as the heavy bail reels I have been using. The action is smooth and power is good on larger fish. March 26, 2013

Smooth and light Reel is used primarily for drop shot. Reel is light weight and smooth. Only thing keepin me from giving 5 stars is the reel is a little tight to wind. August 25, 2012
Great reel I have used this reel in salt water using braid for 6 weeks and it is a great reel. No wind knots and casts like a dream. Trout redfish and whatever, the drag handles all of them. Very light so you can cast all day. June 17, 2012
smooth and light this reel is so smooth reeling its crazy, you cant feel any pieces rubbing grinding it just turns perfectly. so only thing you feel is whats happening on the other end of your line.i have it paired with new shimano crucial rod great combo both are very light and very sensitive with florocabon line the slightest bites can be felt even with lots slack in your line.its spooky May 27, 2012
Great reel I have used this reel in salt water for one month and caught trout, reds and others. Great drag and smooth as silk. Had problem with wind knots with other reel but none with this reel. Works great with braid. Will buy another. May 21, 2012
Good Reel, but not great Love - the drag; silky smooth, strong and percise adjustment - design - light wieght Like - overall smoothness - matte black finish - handle design Dislikes - lack of anti reverse switch - no spare spool - cost ( as good or better reels are available from other manuf. at same or cheaper price) Additional Received the reel shipped from online purchase. After filling with braid found the bail broken. Returned the reel at a local Dick's who replaced it. Excellent customer service. Have used the reel for about 3 weeks; caught 4 bass to date with no issues. I am overall happy and satisfyed with this purchase. May 21, 2012
Outstanding reel Purchased a Shimano Sahara 2500FD and after only a handful of uses, the line (8lb mono) began wearing a deep, pronounced groove into the bail arm. Needless to say I returned it immediately. Decided to step it up a notch and purchase a reel that was a bit more expensive. Enter the Quantum Smoke PT 25. This reel is extremely solid, yet super light. No shoddy plastic materials on this sucker. It has performed flawlessly under rough, demanding conditions. I have it spooled with 20lb power pro braid on a 6'6" Medium fast Tec-Spec rod (great deal) and it is my go-to setup. If you're thinking of buying one of these - do it now. You won't be disappointed.
