Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shimano Sellus 7'2" Worm/Jig - very satisfied. First 7-ft 2-in casting rod I have owned. Mostly a fly rod, trout stream sort of guy. Have bass fished occasionally for years with jigs and crank bait on 5'6" and 6' rods paired with older but good quality Shimano Bantam bait casters , but I relatively new to the large variety of soft baits and various techniques associated with them. Decided to try this, paired with a Lews Speed spool & 20# test Dynema braided line. Very good sensitivity. Easy accurate casting. Very productive with swim baits, Texas & Whacky rigged worms. A morning and afternoon in a couple of local ponds landed 5 nice large mouth bass in the 2-3# range (one maybe more like 4-5#) and a number of smaller ones. Plenty of power and backbone for landing large bass. Allso ordered the Sellus 6'8" Drop Shot spinning rod to pair with an Okuma 2.5 spinning reel. This rod feels nice (I suspect you could mount a fly fishing reel on it and use it as a creek rod for nymphs and light weigh spinners pretty easily. I haven't fished with it yet, though. Plan to use fluorocarbon line on the spinner/drop shot rig, though as is sinks faster. May experiment with fluorocarbon leaders on the braided line, too. Should be fun. Suspect these two combinations will suffice for any bass fishing I will be doing. With current rebate on the Lew's speed spool, both rigs come in at the $100-$120 price point and are very good quality for the price, IMO. July 3, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by light ,and sensitive, for the money really great bass rod for jig and worm fishing October 16, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by plain jain with a few bells The price pretty much matches the quality. This is't a flipping stick as some might make it out to be.It's got backbone&nice guides for weed line edges, small pockets 10-15 feet of water, maybe some river bank jig and craw.Line weight 14# comfortably, maybe some braid to but not heavy matted weeds.Good pitching stick a too.A fun rod to fish light but powerful but don't horse it. Rated 5 out of 5 by great rod great rod at a good price September 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love this rod. This rod has done well so far. I fish from a kayak so I need a rod that has some bend to it to bring the fish in the boat. The eyelets are durable and provide smooth, accurtate casting. It could be more sensitive but I need the strenght more. Its a 1 piece so I miss the 2 piece rods for easier trans port. June 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT ROD FOR THE PRICE I BOUGHT THIS ROD AT DICKS IN CONWAY, AND ITS BY FAR MY BEST ROD YET FOR SETTING HOOKS AND YANKING BIG BASS OUT OF HEAVY COVER. I DO HAVE A CARROT STICK AND I HAVE TO SAY THE QUALITY OF THIS ROD IS ABOUT THE SAME WITHOUT THE $$$. I CURRENTLY HAVE 7 OF THESES RODS BOTH THE 7'2 AND THE 6'8 AND THEY BOTH ARE WONDERFUL RODS. I RECCOMEND TO EVERYONE. April 2, 2012
