Shimano Sellus Drop Shot Spinning Rod 4.5 5 4 4
Nice Rod This is a nice rod for the price. It is a bit on the light side for a medium rod, with a little less backbone than I would prefer; hence the 4 star rating. But it is a quality product at the right price. I purchased it as a back-up rod to go with an extra reel I had laying around. It casts well and has good sensitivity. Overall, it is certainly worth the price. August 1, 2013
Great Rod I just purchased this rod and paired it with my Shimano Solstace 2500 reel. What a great combination. This rod has incredible sensitivity yet is strong enough to handle large fish. I use 15 pound Berkley Pro Braid. The only thing that I don't care for is the reel seat. It is a little wider than that of my reel and the reel will become canted a few degrees. This has no impact on the performance and I will figure out a way to keep it straight. August 20, 2012
Sensitive and Strong Using the rod for light action jig casting with 6# line and what a blast catching fish with it. The tip translates each hit and there is enough backbone to bury a good size hook. Appears durable but time will tell. June 11, 2012
Nice rod for the money! Nice rod for the money. I paired it with a Shimano 2500fd with 8lb line of Suffix elite. This thing casts for a mile. I've caught hybrids, white bass and spot bass on this setup and it is awesome! The only reason i am giving 4 stars is the paint on the rod peeled on the first day out. But if I am catching the numbers like i did the first day out, then it is ok. I would definately recommend. March 27, 2012
