Permethrin is odorless when dry. During the drying process it tightly bonds with the fibers of the treated garment. It will not stain or damage clothing, fabrics, plastics, finished surfaces or any of your outdoor gear. Permethrin clothing treatments have been determined to have "spatial repellency" against mosquitoes. Mosquitoes will swarm around you, but not land on your treated clothing and bite. Use by itself or with skin-applied repellents to build the ultimate protective barrier. Permethrin is a contact insecticide but non-toxic to humans.

Works well and $2.00 cheaper than Walmart.
Solves the tic problem for a number of washers. Spray on cloths and let dry for 24 hrs.

Sawyer Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellant
Best product on the market and at one of the best prices available anywhere.
I use this to treat all my turkey hunting clothing once each season. I re-apply around pants and shirt cuffs every 3 to 5 days. No tick bites for 6 straight years! It works great!
A must have for spring hunting in southern Ohio.

Very Effective for preventing ticks!
Sawyer Premium Insect Repellent (Permethrin) is excellent for preventing ticks from attaching themselves to a person's body. I primarily use the product in the spring and summer when I am turkey hunting and hiking in the woods (application appears to be effective thru the fall).
I began using Sawyer Permethrin over three years ago because of tick infestations. Since that time I have not found a tick on my body or in my hiking or hunting clothing. The product is very effective and well worth the price!

This product is intended to repel insects (ticks, mosquitoes, fleas) that lite on clothing and either bite through or crawl their way up cuffs, sleeves or collar to attach themselves to you for lunch. It is used by the military and there are several commercial products that incorporate permethrin to prevent flies, ticks, etc. I have used it for the last two years in the woods in the northeast and on a month long trip to Sri Lanka and it is very effective at preventing unwanted attention from malarial and dengue fever mosquitoes and deer and wood ticks. I don't leave home (for the wild at least) without my treated pants, shirts and socks. After it dries it is incorporated into the fabric and doesn't smell, stain or harm pets. Dicks prices on this are excellent. Love it!!!

This is only my second year using this product, but I haven't found a tick on me when my hunting partners have. Great stuff.

This spray is excellent. Just spray on your clothes, let them dry, and you have great protection from ticks while in the woods.

Sawyers Permethrin
I heard several people say this is the best for mosquito protection so I bought some for an upcoming mosquito area infested hunt in Florida. The best I can say is that this product was better than using nothing but I ended up going back to Deep Woods Off for better protection.
I am going to recommend this product only because using it is better than going without protection. It is priced reasonable for the size offered.

This product works!
I have been treating my outdoor clothing for ticks since having RMSF 20+ years ago. This particular package offers the most treatment for the least amount of money; I can treat three sets of hunting clothes with one pump bottle (hat, socks, pants, shirt) although the package claims four sets. I hang my clothes on an outdoor clothesline on a still day and spray the product on, paying particular attention to cuffs, waistband, and the neckband areas. Let them dry for 3-4 hours. I have found dead ticks on my socks, in my waist band, and dead red-bugs all over my pants - even had one dead spider sitting on my hat bill while turkey hunting one spring. I have found that the clothing will still effectively kill ticks after three washings and three weeks - it just takes a little longer (five minutes as compared to 1 minute when freshly treated).

SEEMS TO WORK WELL REPELLING INSECTS
Sprayed on pants/socks and sleeves of shirt. Noticed less bites than without.
