Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY! The leather lacing in this kit was ridiculously thick! It would not go through the holes in my glove. The lacing needle was very weak. July 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick and easy repairs Works great if you prep the lace a little before using it. First, trim the corners of the end of the lace where the wire attaches - if not, these corners will get hung up on the holes and make it really hard to pull through. Second, condition the lace beforehand and it will be much softer and easier to work with. The wire is firm but bendable so you can shape or bend it help with those odd angles. Used three packs to relace an 11" infielders glove, so pick up a few to have on hand - but for under $20, it's like a new glove again. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lace kit to fix my MIT nice kit does exactly what it claims.A bit hard to restring my MIT but that's because the letter has to get worked on. Wetting the lace before stringing helps. June 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple, Solid, Inexpensive Part of my reasoning for the purchase is to have the experience of trying to lace my own glove. May 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product Works really well with leather attached the "needle". Easy to repair web stitching instead of using a shoelace!! April 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use Had to trim the leading edge into more of a point but worked beautifully after that April 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked Great Worked just as it should. Now I can get another 20 years out of my glove. April 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not useful Lace too thick and stiff to get into holes on glove. I am returning it. April 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easiest to Use I used this kit and the other kit offered at Rawlings. For me, this kit is much easier to use. The lace is already attached to the wire which is flexible enough to thread thru the wholes in the glove. And, the lace stays attached thru the entire process of relacing. (No need to re-attach the lace after each whole.) The other kit is stiff and difficult to thread thru the wholes in the glove. And, you have to remove and re-insert the lace after each whole. FYI - The lace is only 48" long. I needed 4 kits to completely re-lace an infielders hardball glove which is smaller than most other gloves. Unfortunatly, when I returned to the store to get my last kit, this kit (with the wire) was no longer available. November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well! This product works well. The pre-threaded "needle" allows you to follow the old lace with the new one as you pull it out, making the re-stringing process easy. The 48" lace was easily long enough for me to replace the the top lacing on my Rawlings mitt. July 10, 2013
