Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing running shoe, a bit overpriced! I run 5-10 miles a day, treadmill and road, love the shoe. I've had them 4 months. At first they are a bit strange feeling, I have been running in merrell vibrams and reebok flex. These are very supportive and the toe arches up more than most shoes, but after breaking them in and starting my runs, LOVE them!!!! keeps you on your toes, no shin problem, actually helping with my back strain I have Had in the past. Great comfort, support. Cons; a bit overpriced, and ugly colors. I have the blue/white/orange. December 19, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shoe but expensive I recently developed issues with my right knee (minor arthritis) and was told that I should stop running because the impact was very hard on my knee and I would continue to have swelling and pain issues. I told the Doctor that I did not want to stop running and he said that I had to switch from a stability shoe to a cushioning shoe and limit my miles and frequency of running. I did a little research and found reviews of the Mizuno Prophecy to be promising. Since I already was running in the Mizuno Wave Inspire I decide to fork over the cash for the Prophecy which is twice as much money. WOW what a great shoe! NO pain (only running 2 miles 3x a week right now until I am sure of how my knee is going to react) but so far no pain! This shoe is excellent but at twice the price it is very expensive! Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING!!!! BUY THESE NOW!!! I run 10-15 miles per week and have always worn "good" shoes, but these shoes are nothing short of amazing. By far the best running shoes I have ever used. I can run faster in these and my feet don't hurt after long runs. I ordered mine online and could not be happier. If you walk around the store when trying them out just be aware they feel different than other shoes when just walking. However when you take off running it is like little rockets strapped to your feet and are super comfortable. Like other Mizuno shoes I had to go a half size larger than normal. Don't worry about the price, just buy them already. Your feet will thank you. May 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by "Like walking on air" Best running and walking gymmies I've ever owned. It takes about 2 to 3 days to get use to but after that it's hard to wear my other running shoes. Have ordered another pair in a different color. May 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great, but expensive. About 20 miles a week at 8 minutes per mile pace. Pros. - Laces. Flat, with little bumps and grooves that prevents slippage, very secure. - Lacing. Last outer eyelet closest to ankle is split from the rest of the eyelets and reaches inward a little longer than the other eyelets; almost like a separate tab. There is a lacing reinforcing strip running from the outside of the foot from the ball of the foot to the top of the foot and there are lacing reinforcing strips running from the heel up to the top of the foot in front of the ankle. All this helps to make the shoes feel more snug and secure. - Arch support. Arch support from the Prophecy feels better than that in other shoes I have run in. There is a post directly under the arch that reinforces the feeling of support. The interior lacing reinforcing strip also contributes to the feeling of support when I laced up tight. - Forefoot strike. Ball of foot falls between two posts, front and back; this arrangement cushions impacts better, but does not aid forward rocking for push-off as it might have if the ball of foot falls on a post like a fulcrum. But still very good toe push-off. The high toe curl may be helping with this. The stiff cushioning seems to help toe push-off more than the more squishy conventional foam or gel cushioning. - Rear foot strike. Stiff, almost harsh heel strike. But the stiff wave plate cushioning seems to deliver higher level of energy return on impact compared to that of conventional midsole cushioning materials. Very smooth heel to toe transition. Outside heel pad is isolated to a narrow impact point. Inside heel plate runs full length of heel, with a thin layer of softer cushion that the outer heel plate does not have. - Tongue retainer. There are two shoe tongue elastic retainer bands on each side of the tongue that keep it centered during running, aiding the feeling of snugness and security. The bands are thin enough not to be a bother. - High heels. Heels are high, feels like platform shoes. I can still feel the heels even when I run on my forefoot. But surprisingly, the shoes do not feel unstable. And the high heels take some pressure off my achilles tendons helping me run on my toes longer. - Durable cushioning. The springiness lasts longer than the conventional foam or gel cushioning of my other shoes. I can feel the lost of cushioning of my other shoes within 30-40 miles of running. Cons. - Weight. Heavier than other shoes. - Cost. Really expensive. March 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great choice Bought these shoes today. I work in the hospital setting where I am on my feet for 95% of my work day. I talked to a sales associate that seemed to know what he was talking about. He mentioned the Mizuno and Asics. I first tried on one of the gel Asics.. it felt ok, except it felt a little stiff. I then decided to try on the Prophecys, although the price was expensive. Once I did that, walked around the shoe section, I was hooked. It has a spring like action. I didn't even think about trying on another shoe. February 20, 2012
