So Far So Good We've had the bike for a little over a month. I bought it for my tall 7 yr old son for his birthday. He rides with seat adjusted all the way down. Dick's did a great little tune up when we bought it. My son has ridden it about every other day and says he loves it. So far everything is working well. I've had to adjust the breaks a little, but small adjustments are to be expected every now and then. Great entry level mountain bike. Probably not suitable for challenging off-road trails, but it will be years before my son is ready for that anyway. May 8, 2013
returned this item Had to return this bike due to the chain repeatedly popping off.... May 7, 2013
Great bike This bike is great for a first mountian bike. It is easy to use, and has good shocks. The gears work great. April 2, 2013
My son likes the bike! I bought the bike for my 12 year old son. He really likes it alot. He is riding his bike more now that he got this bike! March 27, 2013
Kid's Bike Had the bike a couple weeks. My son loves having the gears. He switches in and out of them quickly. No complaints so far. It's not a high end bike, but I shopped around, probably too much, and it was the best deal for a bike he'll use about 3 or 4 years maybe. February 26, 2013
Excellent value Bought this bike for my 11yr old as an upgrade from his 20" single-speed bike that has a blown front bearing. We've started riding trails alot this past year and I knew that he needed something with gears. I wanted to buy him a 24" bike but everything was too tall for him; He wouldn't consider a girl bike#can't blame him#, either. However, this one was PERFECT. As many others have said, this one is labeled a "boy" bike and yet the upper bar curves down much lower than any other 24" bike I've found. Our bike is green; Which just happens to be his favorite color, too! I ordered it at the store in Loveland with the help of an employee#wish I remembered his name cause he was AWESOME#. I built it at home and, of course, he wanted to drive it. He took a BIG spill on the snowy street#wearing a helmet# and broke the front reflector and cracked the right shifter. I managed to seal up the exposed shifter with RTV silicone and it still works fine. All is good and we are happy with the purchase, the customer service, and the bike! January 1, 2013
Perfect for my son Fits my 9 year old son perfectly. Most 24 inch bikes were to big, but this seat is a little lower, so he can touch the ground. He loves all the gears and looks forward to having this bike a long time. October 22, 2012
great kids bike great fit for kids 9 - 12 years old October 17, 2012
Excellent bike for the price My son is 9 and started to look ridiculous on his original bike which he started on with training wheels. We didn't want to just buy him a slightly bigger dirt bike but were having trouble finding a mountain bike he could fit on. This bike is excellent because the way the bar slopes down it allows the seat to start out quite low, he can just barely touch the ground on teh seat which is perfect. The bike has been great, he loves it, it's been durable all summer and I cannot tell you how many kids and parents have asked me where I got it. No complaints after one summer which it has been ridden every day. September 10, 2012
Serious problems with durability We bought this bike for our 9 year old son. After less than 2 weeks of use (only on the street, no major accidents), several pieces broke making the bike inoperable. We bought the bike back to see what could be done. Dick's said that they can't cover the replacement since our son didn't treat the bike carefully enough. They did tell us that the replacement pieces (which we have to pay for, probably $30-$40) will be metal so they should last longer. Seems to me that if the bike is designed for 9 year old boys, they shouldn't use plastic parts that last 2 weeks. September 10, 2012
