Go for another option
Left gear shift doesn't work, so the 21 speeds is now 7. Right gear shift has trouble getting to the highest and lowest gears, so it's essentially a 5 gear bike. The wheels scrape the brakes constantly for added tension. And the handlebar reflector broke off during shipping. Waste of money.

Great bike for the price
I bought this bike for my son so he would have a way to get back and forth to school. He hasn't had any trouble with this bike; in fact, he says it's the smoothest ride he's ever had. So far, we haven't had a bit of trouble. We also bought the 3 year warranty plan that includes 2 free tune ups so if there ever is any trouble, I'm confident it will be fixed quickly.

Good Price but just basic
Got this for my birthday, very good price and very basic, but after 1st day of use handle's got loose, took it back to Dick's,they tighten and gave it a once over, the 2nd day of riding the handle's loosened again, took it back I believe I just got a defect, they offered me a new bike of the same or an upgrade, took the upgrade Diamondback...love it

HORRIBLE!!!!
Okay so When this bicycle was in "working" condition I would have to say it worked fairly well except for when it skipped to a different gear that i didnt want it to go to. I had this bike repaired about four times due to the derailuer just flipping upside down and bending! Shamano usually has a decent derailing system but this one is their lower end product. If anything go with a Diamondback which has the higher end shimano parts. Which Dick's does have for sale! that is most likely the next product i will purchase from there!

Great Bike for the Money!
I had to replace my sons bike that we had purchased from [@] two years ago. It had fallen apart. Wanted to replace with a quality bike, but not spend a lot of money. We all know that 12 year old boys are not the most gentle with their possessions. This bike look great, rides smooth and will definately hold up to the stresses that our son will out it through.

Good bike for normal riding.
I use this bike 3 times a week to ride for a couple hours for exercise, fun and it works good. Theres no water bottle holder so make sure to buy one for like $5.

the best bike for a 60 year old
yes i am 60 and i feel like a 30 tear old. since i have purchased this bike, i have been on the bike every day. i take the local transit system around las vegas and taken the bike with me on each trip. it has been triple digit heat here in las vegas, yet i have enjoyed the bike everyday. if you enjoy the outdoors buy this bike. what i miss is a rear wheel quick release. a softer seat for a 60 year old. a model that has a/c, is a must for here in vegas. the bike is easy to ride. shifting gears are a breeze. i like the front wheel quick release. the tires, though knobby, provide a nice ride.

Good bike for the money
Good bike... First real mountain bike purchase. But has been a good purchase from a novice's standpoint. Lightweight, Durable, easy to maneuver! The only con is that sometimes the bike shifts gears when a great amount of pressure is applied to the pedals (i/e going up hills, standing up on the pedals, trying to pedal faster). Other than that, no complaints.
