Rated 5 out of 5 by jcaldwell79 IMMEDIATE RELIEF!!! I'll apologize now for writing a book, but I've never been so satisfied with a product as I am with this one. I've never posted a review of a purchased product in my entire life. This one deserves every word! I'm 35 years old and I've been dealing with back and sciatic pain for the past 5 years. I have been visiting a chiropractor on and off as well as a physical therapist whom performed spinal decompression therapy on a horizontal stretching table. This ongoing treatment has been somewhat beneficial and has allowed me the ability to perform daily tasks, but still experience consistent mild pain each and every day. Yesterday I bent over to pick something up and on my way up I felt something in my lower back slip out of place and it forced me to the ground in severe acute in my lower back/buttox area as well as extreme burning sensation down my leg all the way down to my heel. The pain was so severe it brought me to tears as I lay helpless on the floor. Being that this happened on a Saturday evening, there was no way to get serviced by a chiropractor or a physical therapist. I was in so much pain that I needed relief prior to Monday morning when the chiropractor's office opened. For several years I'd been receiving rave reviews from friends and family about the relief that inversion gave them, but was too skeptical to try it out myself. Being that I needed immediate relief and it was a weekend I had my wife rush to Dicks before they closed and get this inversion table to try. This particular model was at the top of every rating and comparison website I visited, so it was a no brainer which table I wanted to try. Assembly was a snap (took an hour by my wife and a friend of hers), but it was a simple and easy to understand process as the instruction manual was very well written and illustrated. As they were assembling the table I studied up on how to use it. As soon as it was assembled I got on the table and my wife strapped my ankles in (my pain was so excruciating I was not able to bend down to secure the my ankles myself. I was inverted for 10 minutes. After just a couple of minutes into my first session I felt my back decompressing and it even popped a few times. After just 10 minutes of inversion I experienced an unimaginable amount of relief and was actually able to bend down and release the ankle straps on my own. Prior to this initial inversion session, I was not able to walk, stand up completely straight, or sit up straight in a chair. All I could do was lay in the bed. Now after only 1 10 minute session I am walking around as well as sitting up straight in a desk chair typing this review. GO GET YOU ONE OF THESE NOW! Even if you struggle from mild back pain of any kind, you deserve the relief this table provides. I'm looking forward to future inversion sessions on this table and the pain free life it is going to provide. November 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cowboy1 Curtious, restpectful and knowledgeable pros I was having severe back and hip pains and had seen a lot of advertisements about how inversion tables/equipment can help relieve these type of symptoms. What I found when I entered Dick's Sporting Goods in Nampa, Idaho, was friendly staff members that were anxious to help me find what I was looking for and at that particular time, I was unsure as to what I really wanted or needed. The young man that helped me was very knowledgeable of the equipment and was able to show me a Teeter Hang Ups that was very well made and was very reasonably priced. After spending time with him and listening to what he was telling me, it was clear that he had a better idea of what I needed than I did. I purchased the Teeter Hang Ups NXT-S Inversion Table and after getting it home and assembled, which as really easy, I took my first ride. This machine is well built and handles my 250 Lbs. with ease and is very comfortable to use. Since my initial purchase I find myself using it immediately after my morning shower and then again after work for only 5 to 6 minutes at a time and the results have been amazing and every day that I use it, I feel better. I truly recommend to anyone that might be looking for equipment that will improve their health and be the right fit for their personal needs, take a short drive to Nampa, and visit with one of the knowledgeable pros at Dick's Sporting Goods, you won't be sorry you did. Rated 5 out of 5 by Kimolaoha Best Value of Available Teeter Packages I researched the Teeter tables pretty thoroughly, and ultimately went with the NXT-S from Dick's because it proved to be the best value for the following reasons: 1) It is virtually identical to the EP-560 package currently offered by Teeter on TV with the bonus lumbar pad and accu-nodes accessories. Though the NXT-S doesn't include the bonus Healthy Back & Core DVD, I've seen the DVD, and it is simply not worthwhile (5 floor exercises and only 1 sub-par exercise using the actual inversion table -- should not be a factor in the comparison). 2) The NXT-S is manufactured specifically for Dick's, and includes nicer upgraded (over the 560) extended handles and all of the bonuses included in the EP-560 package (except the bonus DVD). 3) The NXT-S is actually stocked in most Dick's brick & mortar stores so it can be purchased (and returned, if need be) with no shipping charges. 4) Dick's routinely offers discount coupons (and always honors competitors'). I used a twenty per cent off competitor's coupon, so got a fabulous value. 5) All ankle retention systems are substantially the same amongst the current Teeter models -- only the Contour L3 and the EP-950 have a ratchet fastener system for those who have difficulty bending to operate the pin-lock. The ratchet system is NOT a more comfortable system, just easier to fasten. 6) The fixed ankle retention system on the NXT-S and all other models is just not very comfortable - but it is bearable. We'll probably try the boots. 7) The assembly instructions do include ambiguities, but just watch the included assembly/set-up DVD, refer to the printed instructions, and use common sense. It just isn't that difficult. 8) We're still 'auditioning' the table -- no miracles, but definitely some improvements. August 19, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by imarocker66 Solid and sturdy We bought this yesterday and my wife and I have each used it twice. The unit itself and the included hardware (nuts and bolts) are very good quality. The included DVD was helpful with assembly and how to use the unit. My first impression after assembly is that I'd expect this to last for several years while maintaining its integrity. Assembly could possibly be accomplished with the "tools" provided, however; I ended up using my own wrenches and a real screwdriver to make the assembly go quicker and easier than it would have been with the undersized throw-away tools that came within the hardware package. While its easy to find less expensive inversion tables on the internet, including department store web sites which will ship them to your house; unfortunately not many department stores actually have floor models for the consumer to examine prior to purchase. Maybe the $99 models pictured on the internet are fine for the 4'-8", 85 pound models that they picture next to their product, but I'm 6'-2", 210 lbs and want to be sure I'm purchasing something that feels sturdy and doesn't wobble when I invert with my head below my feet. Dick's was the only local place in my area that had floor models to choose from. There were two different models on the floor at Dicks and this one by Teeter was without a doubt, higher quality than the other model that was priced at $199. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. I find the unit easy to use, and it feels very sturdy. I do wish the ankle supports were somehow more cushioned. While it does not "hurt" my ankles when I invert, it doesn't exactly feel comfortable either. I've never used an inversion table before so maybe this takes some time to get used to. If the long term effects of using this unit result in less overall back and neck pain then the experience of some slight ankle discomfort for a few minutes a day will be worth it (unless I develop ankle problems). My wife or I do not have problem reaching down to lock in the ankle support but I can imagine that some people who cannot bend over to touch their ankles might need assistance using this inversion table. Pros: - Sturdy, solid equipment (you get what you pay for) - Included DVD, which helps with ease of assembly and understanding the do's and don'ts of how to use. - Adjustable head rest and lumbar support - Easy to use / smooth operation. - Folds up easy for storage or to save space when not using. - Purchase In-Store and you can return easily if you get this home and are not satisfied Con's: - Ankle supports could be use a little more cushioning for my personal preference. - Handle for adjusting the ankle support could have an extension for those who may have trouble bending over to touch their ankles. I've seen this feature on other models. - The cheap throw-away "wrenches' provided for assembly could be a little better even if they are only stamped out of flat stock steel. Use your own basic tools if have them to save some time and frustration. For me, the pro's outweigh the cons and I'm happy with my purchase after the first two days of use. July 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by cueball9 Really Seems to do the job Assembly was very easy, I only had to redo two steps, which were my errors. I've been at full inversion for about a week now and can already feel some improvement in my back. Both my doctor and I feel like given enough time I maybe able to avoid surgery. November 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Drakkar Teeter Worked for Me I was having severe lower back and and back of leg pain due to Sciatica, and was encouraged to purchase an inversion table by my doctor. I found the Teeter.... purchased it. Within a week I could tell the difference in my back and leg pain. Since then the pain is almost totally gone. I'm a 72 year old retiree and this has been one great investment. March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by John573 Great Product--Great Value I have a herniated disc in my lower back which made walking a bit of a chore. I did alot of research and finally decided on the Teeter Hang Ups NXT-S. I use this product about twice a day along with some anti-inflammatory medication and have noticed almost complete relief from the symptoms I was experiencing. If you have lower back issues this product can't give you significant relief. The medical benefits are obvious--the spinal column is stretched pulling the vertebrae apart enough to pull the herniated disc material off of the inflamed nerve area. I plan on continuing the use of the product on a regular basis. It has probably already paid for itself in saved trips to the doctor or chiropractor and the inevitable shot or possible surgery. These things may still come up at some point due to my degenerative spinal stenosis but the theraputic benefits of the Teeter are currently keeping those procedures at bay. I highly recommed this product. Follow the assembly instructions to a tee and watch the intro video to get you started. Good Luck! December 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Laura Wish I Would Have Purchased It Sooner I'm a 66-yr old grandmother suffering from sciatic nerve pain for the past six weeks. Excruciating pain from my right buttocks down my right leg to my ankle, especially upon rising from bed first thing in the morning. Dr. ordered 1000mg of Naproxen per day, combined with stretching exercises for my legs and moist heat followed by ice. The main exercise was walking. I followed his advice to a tee and I could feel gradual relief over time, but still the pain lingered. A friend told me about the inversion tables, which I had never before heard of. After researching this product, I learned how beneficial it could be to sciatic pain, as well as other back-related problems. Also, learned that many athletes and runners use inversion tables to keep in shape. We purchased a Teeter Hangup and it has been amazing! My sciatic pain is nearly gone, some minor discomfort upon rising, but it's getting better daily. I do not invert all the way upside down, but rather just enough until I feel a good strong stretch. I have had a problem with my legs for the past 10 years and use a rollator to walk any long distance. However, since using the Teeter, my balance has improved tremendously, my leg and back muscles are so much stronger and I can walk without the use of my rollator now....and it's only been 3 weeks since I started using it!!! Wish I would have known about them long before now. I feel good now, better than I have in years quite honestly. They are beneficial to anyone and not necessarily limited to those with back problems...the stretch gets those muscles in shape. I love it!! July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Subaru Driver Fantastic product at a great price I spent a lot of time researching inversion tables prior to purchasing the Teeter NXT-S for my father-in-law who suffers from various back problems. Teeter was the clear quality leader and the NXT-S bundle available at DICK's Sporting Goods with the included Adjustable Acupressure Nodes & Lumbar Bridge was the best deal going in Canada or the US for a basic inversion table (online or in-store). I own a lot of exercise equipment from Tuff Stuff, Body Solid, Life Fitness and can knowledgeably say that Teeter's quality is excellent. In fact, after it was clear that he loved his inversion table and was going to keep using it, I made the trek back to the US to pick up another one for myself. My only negative comments are: - As others have suggested, I was surprised at how poor the instructions were. The main issue was the similarly shaped bolts and screws and unclear instructions on when to use which (see included image). The first table took me about 45 minutes to put together, but the second one was within the 15 minutes claimed by Teeter. - Too many Teeter models and unclear feature benefits between different tables. Once I came to the conclusion that I didn't need the gravity boots or the Easy Reach Ankle System, this drastically reduced the number of models I had to compare. - As others have mentioned, the ankles do get sore after a while, but I have no experience with other models to compare against. At the end of the day, you are supporting your entire body weight by the ankles and I can't imagine this being much more comfortable on other tables. - DICK's does not have all models advertised on their website available in-store. I was hoping to see the EP 550 beside the NXT-S to understand why they are both priced the same even though the NXT-S has far more features, but I guess I will never know. - No ability to check inventory on the DICK's website or even other location inventory in-store. This meant driving around the Buffalo, NY area going to each store until I found one where I could see and purchase the NXT-S. If you are looking for a great quality inversion table at a reasonable price, I highly recommend you have a look at this one. July 31, 2012
