Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor design features The only thing this bag has going for it is the fact that it will accommodate three 8 1/2x14 inch boxes in a backpack format. The front bottom flap opens to reveal the poorly insulated "cooler" compartment. the cooler compartment will accommodate up to five 12 oz. cans and since the pack has a soft bottom combined with the soft floor of the tackle box top compartment, I had two cans crushed and leaked after first use. If you intend on carrying your bait in the "cooler" compartment as suggested I would highly recommend double bagging it because any leak is going to have this pack smelling like a Tuna boat in very short order. There is no large external mesh pocket which would be useful for wet raingear etc. the top front compartment is approx. 8 1/2 inches deep and resembles the outside pocket on my children's school backpacks with four virtually useless pockets inside. I can barely fit two five inch spools of leader material inside. There is one more external front pocket which I found useful only for Sabiki rigs. The sunglass pocket on top front is marginally acceptable. It would be better if it had a rigid lining. The two outside side pockets are acceptable and each will accommodate a small spool of line. the suspension system on the backpack is okay as is the padding on the back. The product generally lacks innovative features and quality components. I would not recommend this product. October 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Penn Great bag, superb quaility. The insulated pocket works well to keep drinks cool September 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jetty and Rock hoppers delight Having used dozens of various means of safely carrying my fishing gear across open rock faces and over boulders to reach the bitter end of Jetties, I think I have finally come upon the Holy Grail of backpacks. The pack rides comfortably on my back even filled with gear while leaving my hands free to find safe handholds and brace myself. Ease of mounting and dismounting coupled with good secure catches makes this bag a winner all around. There is more than enough room for all of my lure, hooks and other terminal tackle while providing a nice lower cooler area for my bait, lunch or drinks. I like the fact that I can wear this and my Mustang SOS floatation device over my neoprene waders (just in case) without a lot of restrictions or straps hanging everywhere. September 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tackle bag If your like me and don't have a boat this is the go to backpack. I do a lot fishing off shore and this bag carries everything I need including 2 extra fishing rods, lots of space for the fish you take home also. Every fisherman should have one of these! Recommend for all you fishermen out there June 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth it Was kind of iffy about getting a tackle backpack but it is well worth it. The rod holders are great. The cooler compartment is great for drinks or bait just make sure you put an ice pack in there if its really hot. Also holds a lot of lures and gear. Overall I would defiantly recommend this bag. Rated 5 out of 5 by this thing is the best thing i bought in years i am in love with this thing. its made wading or even just walkin down the peir a breeze. the built in cooler is also a plus for the hot days, or even a spot for more tackle storage, which it is not lacking. it also makes it easy to carry two rods to fish, having two rod holders. i highly recomend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENT! Easy transport for your tackle to the boat! I have two. When leaving my boat in the slip overnight, I don't want my tackle to disappear. These make it easy to get it from the condo, down the dock and to the boat. They are roomy and hold 3 large boxes each. In one of them I have 3 Plano boxes for Gulp baits. In the bottom cooler dept. I store jig heads in two medium boxes. The other holds large offshore lures and sinkers. March 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lots of room I bought this product to replace an older backpack that I used to keep my tackle box in. I was not planning on using the included tackle trays that came with the new backpack, but once I opened it up and saw how perfctly they fit I transferred all my plugs and tackle from my old pack to the new one and still had tons of room left over. Great backpack, wish I had one years ago. October 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I would buy again I use it for fishing I can put the bag on the side of my chair and I never have to get my lazy butt up because everything is at my fingertips. I also like hiking through the woods to my favorite fishing spots and this is a great way to carry all of my fishing gear. September 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great back pack! I had my eye on this back pack for a few months but, was hesitant due to the price. I eventually broke down and bought one for surf fishing. Man was i glad I did! The bag is full of storage and I love the rod holders built into the bag for hiking into my favorite spots or walking the sod banks in South Jersey. I also use the pack even for just walking to the beach with my family since I can haul all my fishing gear but, also carry in the kids' beach stuff. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the price. Really a great bag and would (and have) recommended it to anyone! August 21, 2012
