I fish the salmon river in NYS, in past year have broke two of these rods off in my hands.. Dont waste your money on this product is garabage.
I would recommend you buy an Ugly Stik-lite 8.6ft salmon/steelhead rod... That rod will not break, historic Ugly Stik toughness and reliability. I had some fun with the noodle I'm reviewing,, they cant take the pressure of a 20lb+ Salmon.. Ugly Stik's do... I should have bought an Ugly first.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike49 Heavy Duty Fish
I was looking for a casting rod to mount my Okuma Akena 400 reel. Since I drive a smaller car it had to be a two piece rod that would fit in the trunk. What a perfect match to have a matching casting rod and reel set. Like salmon and steel head, we have plenty heavy duty fish here in FL like snook and red fish. So this rod should handle anything that can be Florida shore waters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bass Hunter Great Value Casting Rod
Bought a 2 piece 9' Celilo casting rod MH for some light surf fishing and mated it with a Shimano Cardiff reel. This rod feels great and loads really nice. I was casting a 1 ounce weight further than I ever did with my 10' spinning surf rod. I know this is a salmon/steelhead specific rod but I feel it is good for inshore fishing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Polish Leprechaun I would buy this product again and again
I use these roods for Steelhead fishing on the Saint Joseph River and they work great. Also on Lake Erie for Walleye trolling. The rods have good action at the tip and a great back bone.
