Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Prodruding rivets on the inside of the shoe Received the ice skates very quickly. The fit is o.k. The padding on the inside is not very good. There are rivets that hold the metal blades to the shoe, which have the flat part on the underside of the shoe and the sharp protruding part on the inside of the shoe, pressing on your foot through the skimpy insole. I don't understand why they would not turn the rivets around to make it more comfortable to wear the shoe. Who cares if the rivets protrude under the sole. No one sees it and they don't hurt anyone. Those skates are going back. They are cheap and it shows...meaning hurts... December 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the price My teen son has been figure skating for over 4 years and we have to purchase skates on-line because sporting goods stores do not always carry larger men's sizes. The blades needing sharping upon arrival, but even that does not overly effect the bottom line cost-wise. He got several compliments on the styling and look, from both other skaters and instructors. He says that they are comfortable enough and the tongue is starting to mold more to his ankle/shin. They felt better after a few weeks. The only complaint was that the inner edge of the one blade wore VERY quickly. He was getting used to the skates AND trying hockey for the first time, so his ankle might have been weak/sore and he leaned in. After one or two sessions, the blade edge worn funny. After sharpening again, he says that feel fine. Will purchase again, when he out-grows this pair. June 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by same as my shoe's size I wears shoe size 8 and thought Lake Placid Men's Glider 4000 Ice skate size 8 would be too big. It turns out fit nicely. It does not have enough padding, however and is not that comfortable without a pair of thick socks. December 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great skates I've tried several skates out over the months and these were the best fit for me. Did I mention the price was great? December 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken right out of the box. The box was beat up badly, right from the start. The skate already had a hole in the leather and lace eye was popped out. So, the skates were broken and sent back to dicks, then resold without even looking at the skates before shipping. They go back, and I'll buy different skates elsewhere. December 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Size 13 at the last minute! Our local Dick's Sporting goods found the size 13 for me and had them delivered for no shipping charge in time for Christmas!!!! Unfortunately, the weather was not as helpful as the lakes thawed! December 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice skate I haven't actually skated on them but they seem fine -- fits nice and was reasonably priced December 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by No Ankle Support Returned the skates since there was no ankle support. March 25, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Works for me. Got what I wanted for the price. Good skates for the price. February 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Skates are as advertised Skates arrived promptly and in good condition. They seem to be sharpened, too. I anticipate these will last quite a long time. I've also had experience with children's skates I ordered online that did not fit - and the return/exchange process was handled by the store and went very smoothly. I'd order from Dick's again!
