Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS Watch with HRM 3.6 5 16 16
As Described This product is just as described. Locates satellites in seconds. Perfect. Setup took only a few minutes and my first run was logged in Garmin connect. Very Pleased with this purchase. October 14, 2013
nice service After I had used my Garmin running watch for a year the lower left silver button fell off. I called the company and the service was so very accommodating. They said it was several days after the 1 year guarantee had expired, nevertheless, they would replace my watch with a reconditioned one. I received it promptly. Unfortunately, the pacing button doesn't work correctly all the time. I appreciate the nice service though! I'll continue to use it for distance and time. September 21, 2013
Do NOT use OFF bug spray! Forever long GPS search time... I have had this watch for 2 months maybe 3 now. I play soccer and run with the watch. It is a decent watch but not worth the price tag. I also have a BAD thing or two to say about it. 1) I live in the south and there are bugs. So, I used OFF brand Deep Woods on myself. Well, as a result it got on the watch and of course pitted where it was sprayed and when I noticed and tried to whip it off a layer of the rubber came off as well. Not cool! 2) It takes forever for the GPS to pick up a signal. It took almost 10 min one time. I mean 10 min isn?t that long but when you are ready to run and now have to wait on your watch it kind of makes you mad at its quality. On a GOOD note once it links to the satellites it works like a champ and is pretty accurate too! Hope this helps you decide. If I were doing it over I would go for at least the touch screen one for a little more. Get what you pay for I guess even though this one was pricy! August 27, 2013
Ignored Reviews, Happy I did! I read the reviews but bought this on a recommendation of a friend. I absolutely love it. It is light weight, the screen is big for me to see during long training runs and the battery lasts very long. It does take a couple seconds to find a satellite but it really is not long and makes me feel better of how accurate it is. Just ran a half marathon over the weekend and it worked perfectly! It's a no This GPS went right back. Just as reviews have stated, it doesn't connect to the oddly designed charging unit easily. I couldn't get it working properly from the very beginning, and I didn't find the quality a watch at this price point should have. The band was not aligned with the watch face and it left a piece that pressed against my wrist. August 4, 2013
Regrettable Purchase i run around 100 miles a month and 10 races a year. i had been using Runkeepr on my iphone which i like, however i decided to buy a Garmin due to seeing all the other elite runners using one. after using the Garmin 210 for a month now I regret buying it for 3 reasons. #1. it was $250 out of my pocket. #2 it takes one to two minutes for it to find satellites, which delays my runs. #3 it's very difficult to upload new runs to your computer, the connection is lost several times due to the poor/odd connection design on the back of the watch. Best present Great! Love it, Light weight, seems pretty accurate. April 28, 2013
Works great Quickly picksup heart rate and does not get lost through the workout like some others I have tried. Picks up satilite quickly and is very accurate. Charge seems to hold as advertised. January 23, 2013
Design flaw with the charging system!!! I purchased the Garmin Forerunner 210 approximately 6 months ago, as I was beginning my training for my first marathon. As a GPS watch, the Garmin 210 works great. It was slow to pick up satellites at times, but once it did you were off and running. The GPS was highly accurate when compared to Google maps. Unfortunately, the battery charging system for the Forerunner serious is seriously flawed. It depends on setting four small prongs onto contacts located on the back side of the watch face. I only charged the watch a handful of times in the past 6 months and had difficulty every time. Often I would set the watch up correctly, verify that it was charging and come back to find it was completely dead; even if the watch was only at 1/3 charge when placed on the charging device. The last time, I attempted to charge it over an entire weekend. It did not charge , in fact, it drained the battery again. In fact, the device would not charge at all, or even turn on. A quick google search shows that this is a very common problem with the forerunner series. I attempted to contact Garmin, but there customer service left me feeling less than impressed and I just gave up and threw the watch in the garbage. i do not recommend this product to anyone! Good Solid Product Let me start by saying that I'm a reformed couch potato. I needed to measure miles in a more reliable way when than using the odometer on the car since I am training for a ten-mile run. In short I needed a measure that did not require signposts on some trail or a general sense of distance. This product delivers. Be aware that you can run the exact same route on three different days with different distance covered. These are insignificant distances (all within a tenth of a mile) but it does make a difference in how the product tallies up your per/mile speed. As to the heart rate monitor, this wasn't why I bought the product so have not tested it out. I also suspect that satisfaction is based on where one lives based on GPS reliability but I would definitely recommend this product. September 23, 2012
