Rated 5 out of 5 by MC656WN - new balance Since I have worn New Balance shoes for over 10 years I suspect that when my current 656s finally wear out these will replace them satisfactorily. I still have 653 and 654s that I wear for gardening and other 'stuff'. As for the following questions I play 2 or 3 times a week always purchase size 8, 4E and I am 75 June 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too long and too wide I have bought New Balance shoes for years since they have a 4E in athletic type shoes but recently I've had to resort to buying them online since the Dick's in our area doesn't carry many 4E shoes in stock. I had to replace my NB653 and this seemed the logical choice but they had a different "last." When I received them, they initially seemed okay but after wearing them one time playing racquetball, I found that my feet were slipping both lengthwise and side-to-side because the shoes were too big. I tried to use them a couple of more times but with the same result. I had to get my pair of 653s back out and use them to play in and make the new shoes the "work around the yard and cut grass " shoes. I would have returned them but the box was already gone and had worn them too much, in my opinion. November 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far so good... 62 years old playing tennis 6-8 hours a week...played to much to hard with narrower Prince shoes / small toe box. This shoe / size provides the room needed, comfortable, good traction...recommended! Dave November 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes Very comfortable and as always with New Balance they were available in wide sizes November 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by my tennis shoes new balance works well on my feet. they were recommended due to my minor planta fichious flair ups. Since i start wearing them the flair ups have gone down quite a bit. October 5, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tennis shoe This shoe is very comfortable and looks great!!! Have tried many other shoes on the court but this one feels great right out of the box. April 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Next generation of the New Balance 655 The sole on this shoe is exactly like the New Balance 655, which I have worn for the past year and really like. The extra width and room in the "box" of the shoe is great and the sole wears extremely well. The only change that I do not like is the tongue of the new model does not have leather from where the laces cross in the middle, up to where the laces would tie. This means the "mesh" now covering the tongue will probably wear out sooner. March 14, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Warranty for product. This is the second pair of this particular tennis shoe that I have bought. I play tennis 4 to 5 times a week and have found the sole of the shoe wears on the instep within 4 - 6 months. I am seeing how long this shoe will go before it starts to wear. The problem has caused me to trip and created some injuries. I have found no warranty for the shoe and therefore have started questioning its durability. February 26, 2013
