Great for the Price
I use this lowrance mark 4 fishfinder/gps on my Ocean Kayak, works very well. I can mark specific gps spots and the fish finder works great. I mounted the transducer inside the hull with Electrical duct putty and it works very well. Black/white screen clarity is great and I can see everything no problem even in high sunlight. Recommend Dicks warranty on the product, if anything breaks on it they will replace it no questions asked. I bought mine on sale and would definatley recommend this product. The only flaw with this unit is that the microSD card port doesnt seem to be fully waterproof if the unit is ever fully submerged in water, I solved this by using some electrical tape over the port to prevent anywater from ever getting inside the unit. Other than that, this is a great product for the money!

Not bad
MARK-4 is a basic GPS/sonar combo. GPS is good, quick to pick up satellites and position /speed readings are stable. Sonar is good but nearly useless for fish finding in shallow (less than 8-10 feet) water as all it picks up is interference/noise (I use 200KHz). Still gets the depth right though. Fish indentification works nice (except shallow depths) but not really needed. Screen is good (high contrast, great visibility overall, acceptable visibility in direct sunlight) but suffers from low resolution and limited grayscale). P.S. Got a wrong item first time, but DSG customer service was excelent in resolving the problem quickly at no cost to me.
