Rated 5 out of 5 by This tent meets all of our needs Our tent came within a few days of ordering it. The grandkids loved it - was very easy to assemble. They actually set it up & slept in it the next night. It seems very well constructed and I think they will get many years of use from it. December 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tent Tent is light and strong. Withstood heavy rains and winds at 10,500 feet in thunderstorms, stayed very dry. Vestibules are roomy, enough to keep 2 packs and shoes on one side and use the other for cooking and exiting. Sets up as quickly as any tent of its kind out there. Zippers are smooth and can be opened with one hand very quickly. Storage mesh pockets on all 4 corners and gear loft give plenty of options to stay organized. On a recent outing there were entire groups of tents and hikers who abandoned a summit attempt because of being wet and beaten down by wind overnight. We were cozy and happily rested, summited first, and elated with this tent. It is a 3-season tent that can handle whatever you and mother nature can throw at it camping and backpacking. Sleeps 2 very comfortably, 3 would be tight but doable. The tent is plenty long for 3, width is the issue. I have owned at least 12 tents and slept in probably three dozen more. This tent is a good one I would recommend. August 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by First use review Bought this tent a few months ago and finally was able to use it this last weekend. Great tent but not at all for 3 people unless they happen to be children. Love the look of the tent and the hammock feature that allowed for a great place for a fan and a light. Also liked the 4 mesh pockets but wish that the tent had more room for gear inside. With two people in the tent, it does not allow for much extra space. Giving it 5 stars though, but would give it 4.5 if i could. The vestibules are great however hard to get in and out as an extra 'door' when maneuvering through that and the tent doors. Wish they had made it so that you could unzip the bottom and tie it off to the side for easy access. Maybe there is a way to do this that I'm not aware of? I'm thinking about returning mine and upgrading to the bigger 4-person tent. Not sure if i will yet but would recommend the tent. I had my last tent which was a Eureka tent for over 20 years and hoping this one lasts as long as well. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Features for the Price Easy set-up. Probably better for 2 people rather than having 3 fitting tightly. If needed, there's a few Youtube videos on set-up. July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Marnot3 Bit heavy but very nice tent will enjoy the extra room over a 2 man tent June 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Limelight 3 I have been looking at this tent and several others for about 3 or 4 months and when I saw that this was offered at 25% off, I pulled the trigger. I bought this tent for motocamping and looking forward to using it soon. Plenty of room for 2 people and 2 vestibules to protect our gear from the elements. I set it up immediately after receiving it and it took about 10 minutes. Super easy and very satisfied. Lots of cool features and this is my first real tent. May 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Marmot Limelight 3 person tent I haven't used this tent yet as it is set aside for a late summer planned camping trip. I did set it up in the backyard just to make sure all the parts were there and it was. There are no instructions that accompany the tent but it went up intuitively. There was one item in the stake bag that had me confused as to its purpose and that was a short blue tube. After pondering and scratching my head about it for several minutes, I finally broke down and called Marmot about it. They said it was a splint in case one of the support tubes got bent on your camping trip. Good idea but I never would have guessed that was what it was for. The only other issue I brought up with them was the fact that all the advertising information indicated that there were two windows in the rain fly (one on each side). There is only one. Marmot said it was a change in manufacturing to keep cost down. Not a big deal but there should have been some mention of that. Construction seems good so I have high hopes that it will last. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the omissions and lack of owners pamphlet. May 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by An All-In-One, High-Quality, Easy to Use Tent Billed as a 3 person tent, it's really just fit for 2, unless you're minimalists and store your gear outside the tent. We kept all of our gear inside the tent and had enough room for the two of us, and our 35lb. dog. Despite that, however, this tent is fantastic. The two doors and two vestibules make it really easy and convenient to get in and out of. The rain fly covers everything, so you're sure to stay dry. Additionally, this tent comes with four corner pockets and a gear loft for quick-access storage. Plus, it includes a footprint which is great for camping on wet, muddy, and snowy surfaces. Set-up is a no-brainer, with only 3 poles, easy plastic clips, and 6 tent stakes needed for assembly (additional stakes and guy lines are included, if additional bracing of the rain fly is needed). Two people can set this up in one minute The price feels a little steep, but the quality and features really do justify it. August 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by What I expected from Marmot Good quality, easy set up, ground sheet included. I mostly camp solo or sometimes with my grandson. I like the extra room of the three person rig especially for such a small weight penalty. Highly recommended. April 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a Great Tent in a storm! My husband and I were camping on Ocracoke Island with our children and future son-in-law when severe thunderstorms suddenly hit with 30 plus MPH winds and blew over our cabin tent and umbrella tent three years ago. Both were supposedly able to withstand the weather. Many other tents in the campground also went down in the storm. However, the Limelight that our future son-in-law was using stood firm and had no leaks. Since then my husband and son (each 6'2'') have used it hunting elk and have no complaints except they don't really want a third person cramping up the tent. November 9, 2012
