Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC Rimfire Rifle Scope 4.9 5 80 80
Excellent scope I purchased this for a 702 plinkster which previously had a Remington 700 freebie scope on it. I couldn't adjust elevation enough to hit the target so it got demoted to a spotting scope. Within 5 or so rounds I was zeroed in with the Nikon. Good clear glass that is very close to my leupold. My only regret is I didn't buy one for my marlin while it was on sale. January 13, 2015
Great Product Great product for a decent price. The online price was cheaper then the in store price. January 2, 2015
Beautiful view The clarity and ease of use are perfect. I would buy more Nikon products December 30, 2014
Doesn't get any better! Great piece of equipment, great price, great service. Exactly what I wanted... A must-have for my Ruger 10-22! December 3, 2014
High Quality For The Price Easy to mount, easy to zero at 50. The BDC gives accuracy to 100 yards with no problem December 2, 2014
Great Honestly good scope for the money and intend use! Will be getting another one for other .22lr November 26, 2014
Great Scope Great scope. The quality was what I expected from Nikon. Price was good although I wish Dick's offered the P-22 November 15, 2014
Great combo Excellent for 22lr and also 17wsm. Mounted on Savage Bmag. 11 yr old son piles rounds on top of one another. Bmag and the Prostaff are a lethal combo. Helped that it was on sale for $129 November 13, 2014
great scope. Always been a supporter of Leo and Redfield but Nikon is putting out some solid optics. For the price it's amazing. Gathers light like the best of em. Optic clarity is great and adjusting is accurate and crisp. Bdc on rimfire is set almost perfectly. liked this scope so much bought a 4-12 for my 270 and again I love it. Holds zero very well. I will continue to buy nikkon November 11, 2014
Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC Rimfire Scope for My Ruger 10/22 T A bit about the rifle: - Ruger 10/22 T - Factory twist hammer forged bull barrel - Factory trigger massaged to 12 ounce break - Glass bedded into a Hogue over-molded stock - Rock Mount 6-9 inch pivoting bi-pod I had a USA made Redfield 3-9 by 40mm scope. (high quality, excellent clarity, changing magnification didn't change the zero) With this rig I could shoot 9mm brass at 25 yards consistently. I would also use the rifle to teach people who never shot before. Anyone can shoot 8's and 9's with this rig. I moved the Redfield to a Savage 93 FV because I could not find a 22 Mag optimized scope, but I could find several for 22LR. I did so with some sense of trepidation despite the fact that is made more sense to re-scope the Ruger. I did my research and chose very carefully. At the same time I don't just throw money at a project. I try to strike a balance between quality and reasonable expense. This scope is definitely that. It holds zero. The light transfer is excellent for the price. The eye relief is very forgiving. The adjustments are easy to work with. The BDC reticle is functional. And, it looks good on my "baby sniper rifle". Let's face it, that's a concern. It does what I hoped it would do. I think you'd have to spend a lot more money to get anything noticeably better. November 1, 2014
