Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 103 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best to date (I bought two more!) I've always had the $40 cheap scopes so this was my first nice scope. It's an absolute night and day difference, image is worlds clearer, easily adjustable with out tools and just an all around great piece. I'll never shoot through another $40 scope again... I had no idea what I was missing. March 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect .22 LR Scope! Excellent quality for a great price! The glass is bright, and clear. I like the scope so much I had to buy another one. The Nikon Spot On site is awesome, greatly improves your accuracy. June 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Scope I recently purchased one of these scopes on sale and so far I have been impressed. This scope has very clear glass and fine enough cross hairs for precise aiming on small targets. I will say that I have not used the bullet drop circles yet, but I am impressed at the overall clarity of the sight picture when aiming at a target. I had read another review of where somebody's poi would change on target when changing from low to high power so I made sure to try this on mine and I did not have that problem. At 50 yards my gun would print the same poi as poa on 3x and on 9x. I have several nikon monarch scopes so I was a little concerned about going to the prostaff line but so far it has proven to be a good buy. I did have to remove my rear sight from my gun to get the 40mm bell to clear, but I like my scopes as close to the barrel as possible so this was not a problem for my situation. June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikon the name says it all. I have a Nikon Monarch UCC 3-9X40 BDC on my Remington 308 Bolt action. This scope is very accurate, clear and performs great in low light conditions. I bought the Nikon Prostaff 3-9X40 BDC Rimfire Scope and put in on my Marlin 22 mag. This scope has the same features as the Nikon Prostaff 3-9X40 BDC the only difference is the parallax setting and it is calibrated for rimfire rifles. Great scope. Hard to go wrong with Nikon. Very accurate, clear and great in low light conditions. If you want a really good scope for the money go Nikon! October 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by exactly what I expected great fit for my ruger 10-22. shipping, tracking and delivery was first rate. June 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC Rimfire Scope for My Ruger 10/22 T A bit about the rifle: - Ruger 10/22 T - Factory twist hammer forged bull barrel - Factory trigger massaged to 12 ounce break - Glass bedded into a Hogue over-molded stock - Rock Mount 6-9 inch pivoting bi-pod I had a USA made Redfield 3-9 by 40mm scope. (high quality, excellent clarity, changing magnification didn't change the zero) With this rig I could shoot 9mm brass at 25 yards consistently. I would also use the rifle to teach people who never shot before. Anyone can shoot 8's and 9's with this rig. I moved the Redfield to a Savage 93 FV because I could not find a 22 Mag optimized scope, but I could find several for 22LR. I did so with some sense of trepidation despite the fact that is made more sense to re-scope the Ruger. I did my research and chose very carefully. At the same time I don't just throw money at a project. I try to strike a balance between quality and reasonable expense. This scope is definitely that. It holds zero. The light transfer is excellent for the price. The eye relief is very forgiving. The adjustments are easy to work with. The BDC reticle is functional. And, it looks good on my "baby sniper rifle". Let's face it, that's a concern. It does what I hoped it would do. I think you'd have to spend a lot more money to get anything noticeably better. November 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product Good quality scope. Clarity is excellent. A very good choice for a .22 rifle. I mounted it on a Henry Golden Boy. Happy with the results. April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great scope! Put on a 40 year old Winchester Model 190 .22cal given to me new by my uncle. Zeroed in a 50 yards and the target looks like I poked it in the center with an ice pick. Outstanding visibility and clarity thru the view finder. I really like this scope. October 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I would buy this scope again After I sighted the rifle ( ruger 10/22 ) in at 50 yards,I get 1/2 inch grouping's. At 100 yards the grouping is 1 inch with a hyper velocity bullet,it's a great scope and it doesn't cost a arm and a leg. I also have a Nikon slugster scope,it is excellent. May 7, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great scope for the $$ Nikon makes very high quality scopes for the money. The 50yd parallax setting is ideal for a rimfire scope. One minor issue. Standard hight scope rings placed scope too close to barrel for front cap to cover scope properly on my heavy barrel target 22. April 15, 2012
