Rated 4 out of 5 by Newport79 Good Bow for the Price
Very much enjoying my new Crossbow. This bow works very well and seems to do well with shooting accurately each time. My only issues with this bow is where the eyes are for adding on a shoulder strap, little hard for carrying. The additional arrow holder comes off to easily and is in a bad position as well. Also the crank mechanism doesn't work 100%, the handle sometimes gets stuck on and is very difficult to get off. Also, the mechanism doesn't tighten down completely when not using it and rattles around. I removed the crank mechanism and simply use a rope pully or just pull by hand. Overall I am happy with this product, just not some of the accessories.

Researched various crossbow for sport and hunting activities. Crossbow is sturdy, accurate, dependable, and ergonomicly friendly. The Crossbow is a little on the heavy side. Built in crank system reduces the stress on the bow and ourselves. I would recommend this bow to others..from beginners to seasoned crossbow hunters.

Bought this for our son. He loves it. Has enjoyed target practice and is able to be very accurate with the scope. The crank makes it all possible. The on-line help desk answered all the questions I had and directed me to this package.

I purchased the Barnett Wildcat C5 Xtreme Crossbow Package at DICK'S Sporting Goods and couldn't be happier! Package price was only $399 and includes crank device built into stock. This makes total savings nearly $200. Only took five shots out of box to have quality scope locked in up to 55 yards! Can't beat this quality and features at this price.

I have been a hunter for over 20 years! I have hunted gun, compound, muzzle loader. I had been wantimg a xbow for a couple of years, well i broke down and bought the barnett jackle after about 30 , 40 , shots i went through all the bolts, nuts , just like the manual said and noticed the limbs were cracked about one inch apart all the way down the limb. After i got my head wraped around this i took it back to dicks sporting goods where the bow tech was spot on with his customer service! A hard thing to come by this day and time .Anyway they didnt have any of the jackel models so i put up a little $ and got the wildcat C5 xtream. Put the bow together in about 15 min and after 4 shots, 2 at 10 yds 1 at 25yds and 1 at 35 yds i was grouping 3 bolts in a place you could cover with a coke can! just for the record 50 yds in i feel very good about things .. the bow is light, fast and pretty quiet so to make a long story short couldnt be more pleased.

Got the bow 2 month ago. Had no problem setting it up. When i went out to hunt the first deer that came by was a 8 point buck put the bow up to shoot it could not get the safe off. took it to dick,s to see what had happened.they said the crank did not let the safe lock. Have had to take it back again today. Dick,s is 40 miles from where i live. They said if it does not click when i crank it up hold on to the string and pull it a little. Hope it works. I am 74 years old to hard to pull by hand. hope it works

Couldn't ask for a better experience. The Barnett Wildcat crossbow was incredibly easy to set up. The scope was easy to zero-in out of the box and I've already taken deer with it this season. I love being able to use the crank, but I can also pull it back manually with no problem. For my first season using a crossbow, the Wildcat has been everything I hoped for at a good value. I've got no complaints.

I bought this bow for my wife and created a monster!!! She loves it, I did get the cocking device and it is very easy for her to use. The bow is fast, it is as fast as my compound and dead accurate. She took it out of the box and she put it together with no problems. I got her the one with the scope and she shot it for the first time and it was about an inch high at 20 yds. After we looked at it the scope had not been fully tightened. I tightened the scope up and she shot it again and hit dead where she was aiming. Since I bought this for her it has not cooled off. I would recommend this bow for any hunter or pleasure shooter. The price is right and quality is very good, there are more expensive crossbows out there and I am sure they are nice. Remember it is not the bow that hits the target or game, it is the shooter. I give it 5 stars, it is a very nice crossbow!!!
