Thunder Ridge I ordered this slate call from Dick's Sporting Goods, when I received it the call was shattered almost as if it had been smashed with something before shipping. First time that has happened to me since I have shoppers with DSG, but once is enough, from now on I'll avoid the mark up (skip that middle man BS) and buy direct. Purrfect Great friction caller. Smooth and easy to use. The Zink Pro Staff video is right on the mark. Great product all around. I do advise getting a flared tip striker from Zinks. It works much better than the one that comes with the slate call. April 30, 2012
Zink Thunder Ridge Slate Call Two other people and I run an outfitter business. We guide turkey, duck, and deer hunts. I always have preferred the mouth call for hands free use when hunting alone, but when guiding hunts it is not the same story. This call was exactly what i was wanting. It has a good sound and ease of use is great. It comes with a brillow pad that you can carry in your vest to rough up your surface at anytime and has a built in striker roughing stone on the backside of the call (very useful). Only reason it got four stars is that it only come with one striker vs the second striker with the oversized tip. I recommend this call to any and all avid turkey hunters. April 23, 2012
