Rated 4 out of 5 by AmyD Pretty Good - And Yes You Can Wash It
Bought this for my 15 year-old who just started playing inline hockey. Overall the shirt is good, although not fully protective against a hard hit. Oddly there are no washing instructions in the shirt. Reebok wasn't sure either... Washed in delicate and in normal cycles in our front loader. Hang dry.

I bought Reebok's padded shirt for men's league hockey. I play in a league where I would like to use this shirt about 1+ times per week from the fall through the spring. I'm 39 and my body doesn't heal as quickly from bruises and scrapes. Plus, I just don't want to take a puck to the sternum without some kind of padding, so I was pleased when I came across Reebok's padded shirt - it had thin padding in all the right places.
Unfortunately, Shock Doctor does not make an equivalent product and most of the other similar products seemed better for football or some type of extreme sport. I was a little concerned about the mesh material (wishing it was more of a compression shirt) but figured it would be okay for a few years.
I was wrong. I purchased the shirt on a Thursday, wore it for the first time for a tournament game the following Saturday - it worked well, but I ripped a hole in the bottom cuff with my thumb taking it off. It got me through my second game that afternoon and I very carefully took it off worrying about making the rip worse. After my third game that Sunday, I took it off and one of the arm pads fell out - the stitching had come undone. The mesh material is weak and the stitching is poor. I do not recommend this product.
I understand Reebok's Senior 9K Padded Shirt is a compression shirt, which would probably work great. I'm likely going to order one online if I can't find a local store that carries it to inspect it first. The padding appears to be thicker, which I don't want - I like that the 7K padding is thin. But, the mesh and stitching are so bad that it is not worth the money.
Fortunately, the staff at Dick's Sporting Goods was great. I explained my experience with the shirt and they refunded me my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flying Dutchmen Just what you need
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and have played about 5 times with it. It provides excellent protection for those who choose not to wear shoulder pads. It's very light weight to the point i don't noticed that it's on. Temperature wise it doens't get that hot unless you're wearing those high end jerseys and then it gets a little warm. Excellent buy and you won't be disappointed

Very good. Comfortable and just what we were looking for. Actually using it as an underlayer for historical fencing and it really helps.
