Rated 5 out of 5 by estebanrael light, comfortable, inexpensive The pad is very light and built for backpacking, comfortable (though an inflatable is more comfy), and inexpensive July 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikinhigh Came in a timely fashion Shipped this out to my girlfriend in New Mexico before we went camping. Worked great, and very pleased with the size of the sleeping pad. February 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by jbeck Perfect in a hammock I bought this to use in my parachute hammock. I am sleeping in a hammock instead of a tent because it is more comfortable and easier to set up and carry around. The big problem with sleeping in a hammock is losing heat from the air currents under the hammock and all of the hammock camping forums recommend a sleep pad. The therm-a-rest pad was perfect. It was around 32 degrees (F) the night I used it and never felt cold. I am sure this works well on the ground as well. Overall, I love it and plan on buying a few more for my wife and children. Rated 5 out of 5 by minuteman59 Perfect for Cub Scouts I purchased 2 of these for a Cub Scout Raffle and the Scouts that won did not have a Sleeping Pad. They used them on a Camping trip that weekend and for young Scouts these were perfect. For older Boys or Adults the self inflating Pads or thicker Therma-a-Rest Pads would work out better. Rated 3 out of 5 by Roach Durable compared to others Wasn't my first choice, but it is more durable then others I've own. Comfort is average, it is bulky though compared to others. October 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim Light, Durable, WARM, Comfy. Unless you've got a crazy sensitive back, this should be plenty of padding for you.. Nice and warm. I've got rather wide shoulders, and i'm 6 foot tall, theres enough room on this, even to stretch out a bit. April 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by oldman the best pad ever I own 2 of these pads. They are both over 25 years old. They look and feel new. I tried the inflatables years ago. They got punctured and were useless. I threw them away. If you are a real outdoor person this is it. If you are a couch potato you wont appreciate it. I have used it in below zero conditions. I also use a svea stove and an m1949 army mtn. Down bag. All things superior.of you are a gadget nerd you won't understand . Happy trails April 4, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by GeminiOne kinda bulky Average for a sleeping bag mat. Bulky. Does ok, average, nothing special. February 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill Good barrier to keep off the cold ground This is not an air mattress. It is an insulated layer between you and the cold ground. It does what it is supposed to do and that is to keep your body heat from being absorbed into the ground. It is extremely lightweight but does not roll up very tight. The large size was great. I had no trouble keeping myself and my bag centered on the pad. October 16, 2014
