Rated 4 out of 5 by playful hiker nice, light stover I've already used this little stove 2x, on backpacking trips. Very light to carry, fast ignition, easy to use - even handles one of my "bigger" pots! the only thing is, can't see the flame in the daylight - that mioght be the gas I used. I may purchase another ,one, too. September 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by SouthManitouCamper Primus Classic Trail Stove Very reasonable price for a small stove. The stove comes in a pouch and the stem can be dis-assembled from the burner. I felt that the flame fanned out slightly more than the normal backpacking stove for more even cooking on your pan. July 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy Rugged backpacking stove I plan to do a bike-packing trip this year. This stove will fit with 2 cans of fuel in about half the space of my previous stove and fuel. It is also a considerable weight savings. Big plus for small panniers. This will also be great for my kayaking trips. The stove is built to last. May 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by solo PRIMUS CLASSICTRAIL OUTDOOR STOVE Went to buy the pocket rocket, cause i had used my brothers before, but they did not have the fuel so i decided to get the primus.I thought the price meant it would be cheap, far from that.took it on an AT weekend hike with my sons scout troop.the pot support did great for different types of cook ware and performed perfect, even better than the pocket rocket.boils water in less then 3 min with a medium flame, weighs next to nothing and it is about the size of my palm.I would recommend for beginners looking for a deal and for some experience hikers and campers. Rated 4 out of 5 by Greg Works very well...with one caveat We purchased this for use on Boy Scout backpacking weekends. The product works very well and is very stable for larger cookware. The only caveat is that there is no windscreen and the burner can be affected by wind...especially when burning it very low just to keep something warm. A weekend of cooking almost used a full fuel canister (the smaller size), so you may have to camp with this several times before you get a true idea of your fuel usage/need. March 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by proudrunner Just what was needed This stove is very simple in design and perfect for Boy Scout outings. It is sturdy, stable and compact. I am concerned about the possibility of losing the shut off valve that screws onto the burner and screws onto the fuel can. It has to be removed in order to fit in its carrying pouch. Solid product and design. I worry that the boys may loose the small part rendering the remaining parts useless. Not sure if Primus sells just that adapter or not and they very well might. Rated 4 out of 5 by barclacc good for the money After reading about all those overpriced hiker stoves I thought this would be pretty junky but this perfectly does the job. The only issue is that this does not have a good low flame setting t May 6, 2014
