Rated 4 out of 5 by Warm Food - Value Price Purchased this for my 11 yr. old son for Scouts cooking on the trail. It is easy enough for him to set up and use while being light and small enough to not be a bother in the his pack. Because it attaches directly to the canister of fuel it is not as stable as some of the larger units but if placed on a solid surface level surface it works well. We have used it for cooking on the trail during Scout hikes with success. November 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hiking stove Great stove worked very well even in the wind. Recommended! However cheaper by $5.00 at REI. September 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than a pocket rocket! Works great. Boils water in just a couple minutes (obviously depending on the amount). Seemingly high BTU output and the valve adjustment is nice for when you dont need a "jet-boil"....just dial it down to your liking. No burnt food. The grate that supports the pot (or pan) has a larger diameter than a typical pocket stove which is good because it can support a larger pot if needed. I have used this stove on the trail dozens of times and am very pleased. When done, just unscrew from fuel canister (dont be alarmed if a bit of gas rushes out from in between the threads. Just unscrew quickly. ) and toss it in your pack (but let it cool first!) September 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job Small but strong. Easy to use. Comes with storage bag. Worth the price. August 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight, compact, powerful Literally will fit in the palm of my hand. Simple, elegant, stable, and a quality-built product. Brought a 2-quart saucepan full of water to a quick boil. Cooled quickly after shutting it off. Highly recommended. August 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by PRIMUS CLASSIC STOVE Good little stove. Considered the Pocket Rocket but wanted a little wider flame pattern for 6"-7" cooking pots. Your price was competitive with other stores and your $10 off coupon closed the deal. Wally World couldn't even beat that. I do price shop between Sportsmans Warehouse , REI and Dicks. Keep those discounts coming and I will keep spending. You do carry some good quality equipment. August 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good basic stove. I use this stove along with the small butane/propane tanks for bicycle camping. It is relatively small and lightweight and heats up great, easily boiling a small pot of water in less than 5 minutes. The low flame setting could be better when you need to simmer. All in all an adequate stove for the price. Remember to buy two fuel cannisters when going on extended excursions (more than 5 days). The fuel cannisters can be difficult to obtain outside of metro areas. July 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wrong size for propane tank..... Ask for 1 for a green tank. This takes a much smaller fitting. Hope to return or find an adapter.. June 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works very well...with one caveat We purchased this for use on Boy Scout backpacking weekends. The product works very well and is very stable for larger cookware. The only caveat is that there is no windscreen and the burner can be affected by wind...especially when burning it very low just to keep something warm. A weekend of cooking almost used a full fuel canister (the smaller size), so you may have to camp with this several times before you get a true idea of your fuel usage/need. March 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hot stove! I hav been using a Coleman 1 burner stove for a while. I decided to lighten up my back pack and purchased the Primus stove and power gas. This stove has to be 5 times lighter than the Coleman. I tested the stove by boiling 1 liter of water in a gsi camp pot. The propane / butane power fuel had a rolling boil in 5 min flat.Much hoter than the Coleman stove. March 5, 2015
