Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by sizes run small Shoe made by NB have gotten much smaller over the years. I wear 12 in reebok, my old NB are 12 and Rocky 12. These 13 or my toes rub the end of the shoe. April 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked great for my first OCR I was looking for a shoe to participate in a 5k obstacle course. I did not want to spend $100+ not knowing if it was something I would ever do again so I tried this shoe for $39.99. There was only one pair of size 12 in stock, and I usually wear a 13. They were snug but since I was going to be trekking through deep mud I opted for the smaller shoe. Running over rocks and terrain with a minimal shoe was different but the shoes performed very well. They are light weight and the sole is rugged enough to handle the rocks and 'grippy' enough to handle the obstacles. They are also extremely easy to clean. I plan on running more OCRs and am undecided if I will move up to a shoe built for those events, but if I don't I feel confident these will perform admirably. April 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loving them! My first Minimus type shoe. My other shoes are: 1. New Balance 750v1 (for cardio, and trail running) 2. Brooks GTS 13 (running on hard surfaces) 3. Chucks (weight lifting) Took these MT20's last week for a 6 mile test run around the Rose Bowl and i loved them. It was raining constantly non stop but it didn't matter. The shoe felt great, its soft, light, very good grip, never slipped. Very thin material, didn't feel cheap to me. The shin splints i used to get with my Brooks GTS13's and NB 750's was in the anterior, but with this shoe its posterior. Not sure if it was my foot getting used to this shoe. As long as my shin splints is not in the front im all good :-) Ill be using this shoe for lifting, squats, lunges, cardio, etc... For $39 i feel like buying another pair. I might just do that next week. Another thing is that the shoe might size might be 1/2 size to big so pick the smaller. Im an 8 and bought the 8 size shoe. If i wanted a tighter fit i should of bought the 7 1/2 shoe. I prefer the bigger size shoe, i like my foot to move a little, thats just me. Hope this helps! March 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by So Far, So Good, Except... I had been wearing the Saucony Kinvara, but they were too narrow and I was getting neuroma pain during marathons. That's why I decided to try the Minimus; it has a wider forefoot. Except, I had the same problem during a 15 mile run with the Minimus yesterday. Why? I've got one last experiment to try. Since it is supposed to be okay to run sockless in the minimus! I'll try that. I'm thinking the socks act the same as narrow shoes and squeeze the metatarsals. I'll try running in the Minimus w/out socks to see if that solves the problem. If not, I'm out of ideas.Other than the above, the Minimus is fine. It took no break in period, probably because I have already been running minimalist for the last couple of years. The shoes are light and comfortable, but I was surprised that they don't protect against sharp rocks as well as I expected for a trail shoe. March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes. This is my third pair. I use them running and as everyday shoes. I was new to the minimalist shoes, skeptical at first but these fit my foot well and are comfortable. March 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very light shoes Interesting concept. After years and years of super duper padding and maxing out air in shoes, a simple idea that remind me of my Chuck Taylor's ( my first sneakers ) is born again. This time with much more technology and style. Very cool. I truely enjoy wearing my New Balance Minimus to the max. February 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe! I love this fit! It's a lightweight shoe great for exercise and running. February 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Light Weight Shoe Good Fit, Light Weight, Comfortable to workout in. February 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this Shoe This is my second pair of these. They are very comfortable and wear well the way that I use them. USE: I do crossfit style training and have weight over my head frequently. These shoes offer all the support I need without the cushion of other brand's trainers, or "Disneyland assault sneakers" as I call them. If you sit at a machine and isolate muscles or spend time on an elliptical or treadmill, stick with the Disney shoes. This is a Great looking shoe. Color is a tad understated. February 8, 2014
