Good alternative to more expensive balls I have been playing Callaway Tour i and Pro Vs for years. I was just looking for a cheaper, yet soft ball to play with early in the season when errant shots are plentiful. The NXT Tour S was a good choice. They have a soft feel around the greens--not as soft as Tour i or Pro V, but didn't expect them to be. The effects of draws/hooks and fades/slices seem to be suppressed, which allows me to keep the ball closer to fairways and greens. The cover is pretty durable, and it keeps its shape pretty well, which is good for Central Oregon, where lava rock is a feature on just about every course. I'm just about through the first dozen, and expect to be getting some more soon. April 2, 2013
