Rated 5 out of 5áby Noble1Uncle More than standing height, four window view, and a small base footprint. I have five tents, each with their purpose, and I purchased this one for camping comfort in moderate weather. Your getting four window view, smart for security, venting, or just to enjoy the scenery in all directions. The height of the tent with its screen meshed top allows you to sky gaze with privacy with the rain fly pulled back. I myself just attach the rain fly on the back poles in a folded drape, so I can easily and quickly pull in up and over to the front if I feel it is needed. This tents size is 8'X8' pole to pole, but internally the floor base footprint is 7 Ż' X 7 Ż' foot, not 8'. Not an issue for me, along with knowing all tent manufactures exaggerate tent people capacities, at least for comfortable use, so measure your equipment to the space. This tents pole and assembly system is solid and simple, and it goes up fast. You really only need to stake out the four corners and only use the additional four stake out guide lines if you expecting winds. Of course with this tents size and shape you wouldn't expect it to handle high storm situations, which is why I always bring along a smaller back up tent designed for harsh weather. This tent is designed for spacial comfort and I wish I found it earlier. The construction of the one I purchased was flawless and it has smart features designed in. If I could change anything on this tent, it would only be for more subdued fabric colors to blend into the environment. Also an accessory shade drape clip on attachment for the front of this tall tent would have been a nice extra. All in all, I really like this Eureka! Copper Canyon 4 tent just as it is. Rated 5 out of 5áby Texas12 Great Product Easy to assemble. Wind resistant. I would completely recommend buying this tent, but don't expect to fit four adults inside of the tent. October 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5áby GOF 4 person tent This is reply to a couple of other reviewers.... I have owned several Eureka! tents over my lifetime, probably for the last 30 or so years. From 2 person Timberline tents to big cabin family tents. I have had zippers wear out and fail. All it took was a call to Eureka! to make arrangements to ship the item back, they either repaired it at no charge or charged me $10 for a zipper replacement. In terms of the stated size, this is a 4 person tent. It means 4 people sleeping on the floor of the tent directly side by side. If you put a queen size mattress in the tent, you can only sleep the number of people you can fit on the mattress. Tents have always been sized this way. I hope you enjoy your Copper Canyon as much as I am. July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5áby slithr4 outstanding tent I fit a queen air bed in it. Had to be careful that air bed did not touch sides. Perfect for one person who loves lots of room to spread out and be comfortable. I put a tarp over and under floor. Bottom tarp oversized to provide large porch. On 3 cold nights under 48 degrees I was able to zip everything up and the interior was warmer than previous tents. It rained twice with good results. Slight dampness where wind pushed sidewall into mattress. Tent very easy to put up, love the big windows' ventilation. I'm 5'7" and put canopy on easily. This is finally the tent I've been waiting for. To have more wiggle room I might consider using a twin air bed next season. August 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5áby Boy Scout Mom Four person tent? I am a single mom that was looking for a tent to stay in during my son's boy scout camp. Like all tent descriptions from tent manufacturers, they over estimate the number of people that can fit in a tent. There was only enough space for a twin air mattress, a folding chair and room for a plastic container with my items for the week in. The only disappointment was the size inside the tent. I loved having screened areas on all four sides. I was very happy that the tent kept the rain outside. The height of the tent was a plus for being able to get dressed while standing up. This tent would accommodate two people if you didn't have much camping gear and no mattresses. The six person tent would have been perfect to purchase for two people. Easy to assemble. June 25, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5áby disappointed Disappointed We used to love this tent. We've had it about 2 years now and have loved the ease with which it can be put up in 10 minutes. The almost vertical walls make it very roomy. The large windows on all 4 sides make it very airy and being able to stand erect is wonderful. However, the zipper broke within about a year. We've tried a repair, and have been extremely careful with the zipper to no avail. No zipper makes the tent useless. This is the 2nd Eureka tent we've had in the last 5 years and both of them had zippers break long before they should. It's not like they're used every day. We go camping 6 to 8 times a year. They're not cheap and should last a lot longer than they do. I will never buy another Eureka tent! December 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5áby BikeNhike2 GREAT for price! Reading the instructions & using common sense makes it a fast, easy one person set-up in about 10 minutes. The straight sides make for plenty of floor space for cots and standing room. Easier for dressing/changing; ideal for those of us who prefer NOT to crawl around in dome tents due to bad backs, etc. Extremely well ventilated. If each camper uses a cot, we recommend going up a tent size just for comfort & ease of use. Cared for properly, this tent will last a long time. July 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5áby J & A Love Standing Up - Good Value Easy Setup, square footprint, 7 feet tall Easy setup for two people, great ventilation (4 big windows/door). We sleep two with room for our gear and some to spare. We bought a 8x10 green tarp to use as a footprint with the extra sticking out as a front porch for shoes. August 7, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5áby Scott Preformed well Easy set up 15-20 min.first time out of the bag. Watched another tent fold up under wind this tent stood firm. Did not have any rain to rate for leakage. A little challenging putting rain fly on with height of tent in wind. Alway overbuy on sleeping size. Says 4 person, adult and 10yr. old with gear. other 2 people would have to sleep standing up. Rated 2 out of 5áby Steve not what I expected from Eureka For years I have used an older model of the Eureka cabin tent and was satisfied with it each and every time I camped. With age, it began to leak so I bought the newer model of this tent and I am VERY disappointed with it and wouldn't reccomend it to the average camper. It was difficult to set up and it leaked with the first rain. It was almost impossible to put back in its carrying case and the instructions were vague. October 21, 2012
