Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 94 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Maxfli U/#s are great golfballs !!! I used to use only 2 piece balls, until I tried these. Due to their exceptional quality, I have shaved several strokes off my game per round. This is mainly because they fly straighter and help me to see more fairways and greens. I really like the sound of the urethane cover off the clubs, they don't sound like your hitting rocks. I only hope these will remain available for years to come. July 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by fly true and straight as you hit them I don't mind the maxfli. what they lack in distance seems to make up for in straightness. 20-30 yds shorter than the titleist or nike but seems to hit the fairways alittle better. November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Did help lower my scores Maxfli U3 was a very good golf ball for the money. Soft around the greens and excellent off the tees. I will buy them again. W.F.J. October 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Lasted 3 holes I tried as good value for urethane covered ball. On my third hole, the cover severely cracked and peeled back. Never have seen this before. My swing speed is modestly above average. I took the dozen back to Dick's. October 29, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lackluster Performance/Quality The "Urethane Cover" marketing ploy was deceiving to me. I purchased the U/3's after playing a 3 pc urethane covered ball, from another big name company, for the last 2 years. The cover of the U/3 is not durable and the harsh feel of the ball doesn't mesh with me. I'm a mid-capper with consistent swing mechanics and this ball just doesn't perform for me. Maybe the U/4 will better suit my style of play but I would recommend these for players looking for some spin characteristics with a firmer feeling ball. October 26, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unexpectedly poor durability Very disappointed in the poor durability of the cover. I am a mid-handicapper, and even when trying to swing easier than normal, cut two balls multiple time in the course of a round. If you have a higher swing speed, these balls are not for you. Rated 4 out of 5 by maxfli u3 Great ball, great feel and good distance and control. great value. September 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Father's Day Sale: Two Doz for the Price of One... 50% Off I play three and up piece golf balls with Surlyn & Urethane Covers. I'm a golf techy and evaluate all New Golf Balls. The two doz. of U3's I purchase at the new Bloomfield Township Store. were very POOR quality with cover durability and very low ball speeds = shorter distance from Driver and Iron club faces. I was surprised but did not accept the Golf Salesman recommendation that the U3 has Poor Manufacturing Quality and I should purchase the U2 golf ball. After I and several of golf buddies tried the U3. We all agreed not to consider the purchase of the U3 Golf Ball. Rated at a F+... Tech Golfer. September 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by reacts off clubs as stated u3 has just enough spin control to keep ball straight off tee shots but also allow control around greens very happy with my purchase. August 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great ball for the money, particularly for high-handicappers The Maxfli U3 is a great value (especially on sale!), and would be a good choice for a high-handicapper that's looking to move up in performance without breaking the bank. Until you've played a higher-end ball with a urethane cover, you'll probably keep thinking that any ball will do. I can tell you (and I'm a +20 guy, myself) that a better ball can improve your game a few strokes on its own, and probably have you losing less of them per round to boot: win-win! While not on the level of a Pro V1 or Hex Black (or even the U6), you're also not in the $4/per ball price range, either. At about half that, this ball is a great intro to a higher tier of golf balls, as it gives a high level of performance and durability which you will notice within the first round of play. If you lose 1 or 2 less balls per round, you'll be saving money, and, more importantly, enjoying the game you love that much more! August 27, 2013
